I really couldn't give a flying fvck about the result. Pasting or no pasting, it will not define our season.

Our season will be defined by the second leg of the cup final with Anderlecht. Qualification for the Europa will be proof positive and undeniable of progress being made compared to last season.

Let's see if we've learned anything from the first game ....and improve on the result. A decent performance will do wonders for team morale and help us in hopefully a Europa campaign after Christmas.

BR has said we'll be signing in January to compensate for the squad members at the World Cup being unavailable for early qualifiers. Hopefully he prioritises the defence.

PS ... Our WC players are all likely to be papped out after 3 Group games anyway, so not sure exactly how many CL qualies they would actually miss.

Right now I am expecting a 3/4-0 turn over

They are on a different level both in footballing terms and in financial terms. It is what it is and we have to go there and just give it our best shot.

They could realistically make it a cricket score but you hope that with them having qualified they will not be going at it 100%

We don't expect anything there except maybe not a gubbing and the most important games for us coming up are the cup final at the weekend and then Anderlecht at home in a few weeks

OK, Plan B it is then.

You are definitely feeling a bit off colour, to the extent that you have secreted an ipad in the bogs, pre-loaded with a stream for the game. For long periods of the match you are going to have to make yourself scarce to deal with the impending doom in your nether regions. Certainly between courses and definitely for the pudding. No point adding sugar to an already over-exuberant digestive system.

You could record gurgling noises and play them on your phone under the table. You could also play the martyr. "No soup for me, I'll have the eggs to try and bind me up a bit". That'll throw them off the scent.

Of course you could get to checking after the starter, see the scoreline, decide to make a miraculous recovery and have the pudding after all.

Thats not bad. Plus i could watch pawrn at half time
