There’s Celtic fans out there the now, not happy at the fact all home games in the group stage were lost, and that their team took some severe poundings in the other games
Almost everyone of that that is complaining about that, mentions the fact that Bitton was used as CB cover
Surely to fck there is a point to be made that signing Roberts was a luxury you chose to have rather than signing a CB?
Explain the wummery in that, coz it’s your owns fans that are saying it!!

I have to say, I don’t think it’s a WUM.
But it does look like ‘see how I was right about something’ type of threads.
As has been pointed out, we needed cover on the wings, and Roberts is an excellent player. For whatever reason, we couldn’t get a CH in over the summer.
You can make plans for having some injuries, but I don’t think anyone foresaw having our 3 CH’s out at the same time.
But don’t you worry-looks like you’re back in the fold with your fellow supporters having been ostracised for some time.
BTW-do you think King and the 3 bears should sell their shares to Ashley?

Lovely weather, when Celtic are on TOP it is cosy all around the WORLD. XCEPT AYEBROKES. !!
Lawell’s finest smokescreen was managing to whip up a frenzy over loaning a guy who’d already been there for years on loan and been in and out the team with patchy form (not to mention a Van Vossenesque miss against us which probably cost the game) throughout.
It was absolutely hilarious watching people foaming at the mouth about it coz Lawell spun it as a wonder signing.
Went exactly as anyone could and should have expected. Totally hot and cold with no great impact in games that matter.
2 assists against Rangers.
1 goal against Anderlecht away in our sole victory. Only played 2 other games due to injury.

Stevie, we did need centre back cover but the signing of Roberts had nothing to do with that not happening. A failed medical was the cause of it.
As for him being slightly better than Forrest, that just says it all about your views on a player. Forrest is in the form of his life and I would still have Roberts every day of the week as he is 10x the player Forrest will ever be.
He’s had 2 big injuries since he signed in the summer which can happen to anyone but it’s not going to cloud my vision on how good a player he is and what he’s contributed in the main since he signed almost 2 years ago.

Did we pay a loan fee for Roberts? I haven't seen it anywhere. Not saying we didn't, but even if we did, i can't see how it was money wasted and not used on a defender. Anyone who can't see his undoubted talent should just give up on football.

I’ve never even seen £6 million quoted for a loan fee anywhere, flook knows where they daft bassas have got that from.
The same people who say Lawell wont spend money are saying we gave £6m for a loanee.
