Exactly what I thought when I read that p!sh from Brown
To be honest he's right, the qualifiers start even earlier this season and Celtic and any club for that matter comes before your country so I have a feeling they'll miss the ones in the summer and rightly so imo.
Travelling to flooking Peru and Mexico for friendlies, another shambles from the SFA.
Probably thinks he’s Scotland’s captain and best player
Celtic shouldn't let any of their players travel.

Ah know. Waste of time. They’ll get pumped in Europe anyway. Best not to bother 🤣🤣🤣
Last summer was different, the games were massive qualifiers.
Absolute nonsense friendlies in Mexico and Peru are anything but massive.
Give some of the boys in the 21s the chance to go and experience it.

Oh dear, just 6 comments in and the real reason behind the post surfaces.
he has a point
on one hand you want to give the scottish players every chance to progress in europe
on the other they want you to fly across the world for a friendly.
they are absolutely f...in braindead, there is not a shred of common sense between them.
its alright for rangers players cause they dont get called up or have to worry about europe for very long.

IRONY ALERT!! 😂😂😂
taking aside brown being the one that says it, surely we can all agree that after a long season, with a short break for qualifiers, the decision to fly halfway around the world for a meaningless friendly is utterly ridiculous?
Maybe the Rangers players could stop off in Orlando and pick up the Florida Cup on route to Meheko

Is that why you never went to Japan?

BOOM!! 😂😂😂
I lost all respect for Scott Brown when he started picking and choosing when he was going to be "retired" from international football. Players should want to give their all for their country, not pick and choose the games that take their fancy. No idea why he gets such an easy ride in the media; other players would have been panned relentlessly for pulling the stunt he did.

Scotland games should not impact on Scotland's biggest club, it's ridiculous from the Scottish FA to harm the club that gives them all their talent bar lads like Robertson

No we can’t agree. They friendlies are important for preparation for the upcoming competitive games.
And as I said, it’s a privilege to play for your country. Always. Not an inconvenience.
Anyone who sees it as an inconvenience can make themselves permanently unavailable.
The international windows are set we all know if there are no qualifiers then a friendly or get together will be arranged. Whether or not these games are needed are a different argument but as we will be under a new manager games will be vitally important in preparation for the Euro Qualifiers.
I am sure many of the Celtic players will be happy too travel to represent their nation even if the captain thinks its beneath him
