Is this was Mourinho they would be calling for his head

It's time to go Conte!

Mourinho actually had a hell of a lot of support even when we were near the relegation area.

Behave. In Mourinho's last season with is the club persevered with him for months even though he'd clearly lost the plot and had us closer and closer to the relegation zone. They clearly didn't want to sack him but were left with no choice as we were heading for relegation that season under Mourinho.

He had us 16th in the table and the stands were chanting nothing but his name mate.

Incidentally why'll LVG had United chasing top 4 and was getting routinely booed

Perhaps, he certainly seems about as lost as some of the donkeys on the park.

Not sure who we could bring in that would get us playing the right way and be afforded the two or three seasons it would take.

Ideally the board would just take the loss of these poor poor excuses for footballers, get rid of them and bring in proven quality that fits Conte's style. This will not happen though, always easier to replace a manager.

Mourinho was supported much better than Conte, he probably signed most of the players he wanted as well. Think these signings from Chelsea in the last six months have mostly been down to the club.

Conte seems to have gone really defensive this season though, I don't know why. You counter attacked so well last year, this season you can barely string a few passes together.

Undoubtedly.

He is slow to react to stuff, and I think he takes quite sometime to think his decisions over.

The 352 has worked for us in games, and the 343 has failed in games. I don't know about going back to four at the back, as we really don't have the players for it.

However, Moses should have been dropped quite a while ago, Alonso looks shattered with the amount of games he plays (which is quite frankly the transfer departments fault), and both Fabregas along with Kante have been poor by their standards this season.

A lot of people give Bakayoko a lot of hate, but Fabregas and Kante both been unreliable this season. It's kind of the reason our formation just doesn't work, as the performances from central midfield have been awful.

Kante and Fabregas have shown the ability to play football in their time here, Bakayoko hardly has. You can't compare them at all.

I don't think Fabregas should be starting regularly, he doesn't have the legs.

You're right our midfield has been poor which is why we need Willian and Pedro on the pitch alongside Hazard, at least it gives us more of a chance than 8 defensive outfield players.

I agree we don't have the players for a back 4 but I'd also argue we don't have the players for a back 3. Moses is no where near good enough.

In a back 4 we can at least play Azpi-Christ-Luiz-Rud or something similar, including Alonso if we wanted.

He's looking more and more detached as the season goes on. His team selections/subs, etc... he's just going through the motions not reacting to the opposition or action on the pitch.

I get the unnerving feeling everyone at the club has hit a stalemate presuming he'll get us to top 4 and we'll gracefully part company in May, which'll be a shame.

I thinknhownother teams performed helped Conte last season more than him being a great manager

Had City performed and utd been settled then I do think it would have been utd and Chelsea fighting for 2nd last season too.

Throw a Liverpool team sorting itself out defensively and its a top 4 fight with city being winners

Kante looks poor as hes having to play more than 1 game per week.

No genius but the last 2 premier leagues have been won by the best team that season even though the league has been sheet. Conte is a quality manager who has buckled under Jose snipes, well his team certainly has.

Good manager with frustrating habits, he could be great if he maybe had a bit of sustainability and long term planning in way he goes about things? When I say that I mean he seems to like a small squad of only trusting 14-15 players, and on top of that favours functional hard working players with experience to make up the squad, as opposed to developing younger talents. I also believe this is the opposite of the club's vision and hence why Conte and board may not have seen eye to wye.

But having said that, while our performances this season are quite dreary and lethargic, in league I still believe we're overachieving for the calibre of players we have. We did the same last season. I think other managers would have this squad about 4th-6th
