Dubois was winning most of the rounds up until the KO, so Joyce did well to stay in the fight and win in the end. However, there was nothing from either fighter that made me think they could trouble any of the elite heavyweight boxers at the moment.

I missed the first round, but it definitely was not an even fight from what I saw. Joyce won the last 2 rounds, but Dubois won all the others (apart from maybe the 1st).

I was really hoping Dubois would win and add more excitement to the division. Who doesn't want to see another power puncher knocking everyone out? Such a shame that Dubois might well be just a hype job.

You mis-interpret what I mean. I'm not asking for validation, I'm just saying that you have seen the fight differently to most others I would imagine.

Fair enough, not trying to be defensive. However, I did have Dubois winning the fight up until the latter 2 rounds. I still maintain that a boxer with more power finishes Joyce off earlier. There was a period where it seemed like it was only a matter of time. But Joyce's stamina was very good and he withstood the pressure. Dubois either couldn't or didn't.

Still only 23, so I'm sure he can bounce back from it. Will probably take him a short while before he gets a big fight again though.

Underwhelming fight against a retired fighter. He needs to start fighting big names and not find reasons to dodge them. His CV is pretty average.
