Nah it would be a huge fight for the Undisputed Heavyweight Championship of the World. How could Fury not get up for the biggest fight in boxing against the guy that beat AJ twice ?

In the meantime Fury has apparently given an offer to Hearn to fight Chisora for a third time lol. A fight he has no problem getting motivated for.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course it's a big fight for us but is it big for him? Usyk doesn't speak english or do much in terms of promotion so Fury would have to sell that fight himself.

Let's also not pretend that AJ vs Fury isn't a bigger fight. Fury would earn a lot more for the AJ fight than Usyk.

The Chisora stuff is just Fury being Fury. He'll want to fight Otto Wallin next week.

Styles make fights.

I think Fury beats Usyk fairly easily. He will pot shot him and then tie him up on the inside and make it a dirty fight.

Of course AJ vs Fury is a bigger fight. It would be the biggest fight of all time in terms of revenue and people watching around the world. Nobody has said otherwise.

But Tyson Fury vs Usyk is still a huge fight. It would the two very best Heavyweights in the world squaring off to become the first Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World since the great Lennox Lewis. Who wouldn't want to see that ? Would be a huge fight.

Have to disagree, would be anything but an easy fight. But let's first see how Usyk fares against a much better prepared AJ. Then we'll have a better idea.

AJ vs Usyk 2 weigh ins are under way.

posted on 19/8/22

Weigh in results:

AJ: 244lbs (4lbs heavier than first fight)
Usyk: 221lbs (Same as first fight)

Very interestingm

Quite surprising, especially as so many were saying that Usyk has put on weight. AJ was meant to be lighter as well.

Hearn can't bear not being the centre of attention during the face offs.

so AJ is going for the KO then

Usyk will still have his speed but I think AJ will come out faster this time.

I wouldn't necessarily say he's going for the KO but I believe he will adopt a more aggressive and proactive approach. Whether this can bring the KO, time will tell.

It would be great for boxing if AJ proved his doubters wrong with a rollicking knockout performance.

But I expect Usyk to school him again

100% this NPE mate

Dont want to speak for the whole world, but I am sure most from Blighty as someone said above would want to see AJ vs Fury instead of Fury Vs Usyk

but................

I have this nagging feeling in the back of my head that AJ thinks this is just like Ruiz fight and in this one he will come roaring out the gate expecting to dominate Usyk like the Mexican punching bag Ruiz was in the second fight, but will be sorely mistaken. Fully expecting to see a fairly dejected AJ after 3/4 rounds looking lost and confused cos his plan didn't work and Usyk being 3-4 rounds up on the score card

Well yeah we all want the Brit AJ to win of course. Apart from the odd Yank none of us here are Ukrainian as far as I know.

People can support whoever they want, regardless of nationality.

I will be supportiny AJ, naturally.

Ok let's get the predictions in, who has everybody got?

posted on 20/8/22

With NPE, would love to see an AJ KO, however fully expecting a pretty easy UD for Usyk

posted on 20/8/22

I think AJ will come out with intent and start landing to the body and Usyk will have to fire back, to keep AJ from coming forward. In one of these exchanges, I expect AJ to put Usyk down, at some point within the first 4-5. Usyk will manage to recover but he will clinch AJ to survive. However, I think Usyk will start to come into the fight from round 7 onwards, as AJ fatigues and I can see Usyk finishing strong and winning the last 4-5 rounds. AJ should get the points decision based on the early rounds and the knockdown. The punch that puts Usyk down will be the left hook.

AJ win via Unanimous Decision

No.

But if it's a close fight,AJ will get the decision.

It's not just about AJ being a Brit. I don't especially care for him despite that.

It's more that it would be really exciting for everyone to be proved wrong about him and for him to show he still has knockout power and wants to be the best.
