The 'feeling'

The defending the poor for the goals too.

I mean the second one pretty much summed up our performance.

The atmosphere at OT was non-existant.

Did the players seem fatigued?

Agree on point one. The crowd were up for it first 20 minutes, Jose killed the atmosphere with his tactics and it was back to the crowd moaning about it.

On point two, it is both the manager and the players. But manager is accountable for us playing long ball to Fellaini, why else would he be up with Lukaku?

3 times we saw Young and Rashford with the ball at their feet, hands to their sides asking for somebody to pass too. It isn't good enough. The crowd can moan about poor passes or decisions but they had nothing on most of the time, no movement, nobody willing to come to ball or make a run.

There were just a few times when someone would ping a ball out to the wing, or Rashford would dart down the by-line, and all you expect to see is a flood of red sprinting forward for the support - to get on the end of the cross - and it just wasn't there.

Whether it is genuine fatigue or they just haven't been properly motivated for the game/they aren't resonating with the tactics, it is hard to say, but I'm tempted to go with the latter.

Fans were literally screaming "you lazy xxxxs" at them, which as a pro athlete is inexcusable. I play(ed) football - obviously at nowhere near a pro standard, but even I'd be ashamed if that was the criticism thrown at me.

It aint the players, can't you see that? You think Lingard and Sanchez would rather be sprinting back to position when we lose the ball than into the box to score?

It reminded me of the Huddersfield , Burnley and Southampton games.

I'm saying that I don't think it is the players; I think the way the team is set-up/the instructions they're given give this impression that they aren't bothered, because we don't see what we're all willing them to do in that situation, which is sprinting up the pitch - launching an attack for once.

I'm saying that, ostensibly, it looks like they're fatigued or not bothered, but I know that this isn't the case.

Lingard is full of running; Sanchez, despite being poor for us, still gives everything. I think the energy and assertiveness has been proverbially strangled out of them.

The answe is partly this.

Who are the most imobile players in our squad?

Carrick, Matic, Mata and Groot.

You can not play two of these in your midfield two or three, which ever way you look at it, and have them forty yards apart most of the game.

Yeah I agree on all points really.

Cantona makes a point in that it isn't the first time we have setup and performed this way.

Everybody have him a free pass away, 0-0, not the worst result because you're bringing them to OT and we should beat them.

Issue is, we didn't even try and beat them.

Neutral fan in Canada who watched both games Seville could have won both by 4 or 5 as they are at this point a far better team Sub comes on and should have had 4 goals . United defence is not up to United standards Pogma I just don't see thisman as anything extra ordinary what has he done?

They were the better side in both games but, particularly last night, they didn't have to be good to be better.

As a group of players, we are streets ahead of them, as a team, alongside management and tactics, that didn't show. Agree that last night, they should have made the scoreline embarrassing.

The minute or so before the first goal yesterday summed it all up for me.

Bailly, Smalling and Young were simply passing between themselves with no movement ahead of them- the whole team, from back to front, clueless as to how to start an attack now that the afro had gone off. The crowd at that point started booing (very telling that, it's the only time I've heard it since those times LVG was drawing every game 0-0) and we were rushed into a mistake.

Mourinho just doesn't get it. He never will. Had we somehow scraped a 1-0 win yesterday he would have been perfectly happy with that cowardly performance. If there was anything to convince me he is not a United manager, it was that pathetic display along with his post-match comments.

I have had this on several occasions. Jose simply doesn't get the club or fans, despite what he has said in the past. I'd really like him to leave in the summer, yet we have handed him a new contract. What a strange decision that was in the middle of the season.

Went to the game last night and two things struck me:

I'm sure one was a prawn sandwich but what was the other?

Jose seriously believes he is bigger that the club.

He has never identified with the club and the fans. That's why they wont sing for him. His comments after the game were disgraceful. Disrespectful and damaging to the reputation of the club. A club that lines his filthy pockets.

I left the ground right after they scored first after spending the entire game up to then screaming in disbelief at him as to what was unfolding and was almost certainly on the cards. Its easy to say that he doesnt realise the consequences and danger of his game plan and maybe doesn't understand the game as much as he thinks, but he does. And doesn't really care to be honest.

Occasionally I would just like to see him wear a club tie and badge on the touchline instead of his mancky donkey jacket and show a little respect to United...it might rub off on his players a little. Maybe.

Ive had two seats at OT this week for what will be 3 games in 7 days. It costs a lot. We deserve better than this.

Never liked him and never wanted him in the first place.. Hes got to go
