Wow, you're sounding as bad as Rovers fans now. We're only 5 games in to the season.
We didn't perfom today, but a season isn't decided over five games, its decided over thirty nine.
Personally, its down to team selection, after today I think Coyle will have a better idea of what his starting eleven is, we can't really decide that against teams like United, City and Liverpool ....

It is, don't know why I typed 39.....
Hi Moses...
Is that not what pre-season is for.
We struggled to beat Macclesfield.
I am one worried Wanderer.
Serious prediction...
Bottom by Christmas.
Are we in a bad run of form? Without a doubt.
Does this need to change very soon? Of course.
Are we seriously in the brown stuff? No.
We're 5 games in to a 38 game season and have so far played a revitalised Liverpool, a City side whose attack cost more than our entire team and a United side who will thump alot of teams worse than they did us (just ask Arsenal!).
We all knew when the fixtures got announced that this was exactly the position we could end up being in and that it was important for us to just make sure we start getting points on the board as soon as we get past this run of fixtures.
Its a long season. I'll start to worry if we are still in this position come the end of October.
I'll be interested in OCs comments to be honest. Eagles and Mavies start against United BUT not against Norwich!?
SKD needs dropping, but Coyle has a difficult decision made for him now with Klasnic suspended...
What needs to happen for Wheater to get a league start?
Biggest difference between me and Rebel.
I WANT Bolton to win, he doesn't. He just wants to be proved it!
Vera, Kakuta, Tuncay and N'gog weren't in our sqaud in pre season, we can't judge them to they have played.
We played a reserve team against Macclesfield who had a very good striker in Sinclair, hes performing well in the Championship now.
ATM, we are three key players down, Holden and Ricketts are back soon, they will improve the side no end....
Ricketts won't be back before christmas, he's already said as much himself on the BWFC website.
If we were to win 4-3 against a team, Coyle would continue to play that exact same line-up for the next game rather than thinking 'How do we stop the 3 we conceded?' - Why does he insist on playing Zat Knight when he's proven time after time to be a liability?
I'd sooner watch 4-4-2 every week and see goals scored rather than watch Mugson and his dour football - But are the two really that much different with their tactical awareness?
We must be the easiest team to prepare for because we're one-dimensional week after week. Defend deep, hope we're level after 70 minutes, then throw an extra striker on and hope we score. Fascinating.
Drop KD, Klasnic and Knight. Dock Jussi's wages for every pointless long-ball he kicks. Then I might not have such miserable weekends.
Tell you what though..... You can't knock Petrov and his effort right now.. He's doing more than anyone to help try win football matches.
We aren't joined 2nd bottom in the Championship are we? Phew, thank god for that....
Come monday, there's a distinct possibility we'll be joint bottom of the Premier-league.
Spot on with the Mallorca. Petrov really impressed me today. As did Ngog when he came on, came so close to being a hero but for Ruddy making a great save.

Spot on that.
I feel really sorry for him at the moment
Im glad we were beaten today, it will have shown Coyle that the team that beat QPR wasnt good enough.
Despite losing to Lfc, Mcfc and Mufc, we beat QPR 4-0 with this team, and i think it was fair to assume that it was good enough.
Now Coyle has seen it isnt, and made subs at half time, we can adapt and modify the team to see fit.
I didnt see the 1st half but i saw the second, and we seemed to be having a right go, N'Gog played well, Petrov been brilliant all season. But we were missing Tuncay or Klasnic. If we had had 11 men in the second half then we would have scored enough, but being a man down was too much for us.
If we had scraped a win today with Davies etc in the team, nothing would have changed. But as we have lost and N'gog played well, Coyle will know to change it effieciently.
I hope for:
Jussi
Boyata, Cahill, Knight, Robbo
Eagles, Reo Coker, Holden, Petrov
Tuncay
N'Gog
i think Tuncay would have stayed on if Klasnic hadnt been sent off. But he should have a free role behind N'Gog, Holden and Reo-coker can hold the midfield and keep pressure off the defence.
Cahill has said they spent all week working on defensive positioning and working on it...however it appears none of it worked and i know Coyle will be going ballistic about this.
Are we in a bad run of form? Without a doubt.
Does this need to change very soon? Of course.
Are we seriously in the brown stuff? No.
---------------------------------
Agree with that
If we can pick up just a couple of wins between now and the end of October (Swansea and Wigan away, Sunderland at home all candiidates) I still think we can be confident of that top half finish
Obviously if we play like we did in the first half today against anyone we'll be screwed but I still think we can turn the corner. Early days yet
Petrov has been good so far this season. Also thought we did OK second half seeing as we had ten men. But no use being able to play once you're two down
Sorry but after today coyle looks tactically inept. He is playing a centre half at right back who looks awful going forward and defending in that position. A centre forward on the right so out place I could do better. Whenever a decent manager has cone up against him we have struggled. He is a positive guy and a good motivator but his eye for a player is questionable and he has no tactics. He claimed to have re watched the utd game and decided the back four played well. We then let in two goals and look awful. Someone on here questioned me saying drop all five at the back including Cahill. I think he should. Not selling Cahill looks bad business now. We leak goals and then lose him for nothing when we could have £10m and a new centre half. We have played well twice since march. Coyle has until Christmas and if we are bottom three by then no excuses he goes. 8 players have joined the club with only ngog today looking like a player. Sad to say it but you have a choice bury your head in the sands or show real concern. In the Bolton news coyle said lambert was a smartcookie. He forgot to say that meant he was smarter than coyle.
Two positives return of Holden and that no one is going to want to take coyle off our hands now. His stock is dropping by the week.
In coyle we trust (sorry but not for long)

Steinssons injured, who are we meant to play there?
We spent the week on defensive positioning?
Zat Knight and Paul Robinson must have missed those sessions then.
Knight is a liability and i'm unsure over Pratley.
Must admit I had my Wenger glasses on for the Klasnic incident. Must have caught him "really hard" though to put him on the deck.
Oh and Howard Webb & his Lino on the Lofthouse stand side = terrible.
Everyone needs to chill out. Literally this is ridiculous.
Im fed up of people bringing up last season as well, Last season we had no centre midfielders and were forced to play Elmander and Gardner in midfield, thats way we were so poor in last 10 games.
Secondly this season:
QPR 4:0
MCFC 2:3
LFC 1:3
MUFC 0:5
NCFC 1:2
Basically we lost 3 games you would expect us to lose anyway. Won a game you'd expect us to, and Lost one we shouldnt have done. If we had say Lost 3:2 to Wolves, 3:1 to Fulham and 5:0 to Newcastle, then id be worried but the fact is we have lost to teams whose defence has probably cost more than our starting 11.
Today was a bad result, but it atleast means Coyle knows that QPR was a lucky result, we played well second half, but Davies and Klasnic doesnt work. Ok to assume it still will when were playing LFC, MUFC and MCFC.
Davies wont start next week i think, taken off at half time...N'Gog played well twice in a week...
How did Tuncay do first half btw? He would be much better in the hole behind N'Gog.
HH
Klasnic suspended, NGog in... Brilliantly made easy for Coyle... Who frankly, doesn't seem to want to drop SKD, regardless of form...
Play the kid who came on pre season. Boyata is a centre half play him there. God he can't do worse than Cahill or knight. Even Alonso deserves a chance at full back.

Alonso's injured, also its far too early to chuck Riley in at the deep end in the Premier league.....
Holden unfortunately it's not just up front we have problems. Swapping up front personnel will not mask the fact that apart from petrov the other 9 behind have been awful. We can't defend corners in fact defend full stop. I did not know any Norwich players yet in the first half they passed through us like united. These are not bad players but something is wrong. On corners it's tactics. The no one upfront tactic exists from megson days when defending corners. This means we are unable to stop pressure and successfully get out.
