Derby weren't exactly brilliant,

probably because they had to change their game plan so early on.

5stars for what is a fair and magnanimous report by an obviously disappointed Reds fan.

JLS I'm not saying this just cause you are our rivals, but I have been to the city ground 14 times and that was the worst side I have seen perform for a local Derby. Also, can you tell me what happened to those 2 guys who had a banner saying "chairman out" five minutes from the end?

I honestly think if billy was here, we would have got battered

Peni but Billy wasn't there, Steve Mac was. We've got the bragging rights, and thats with 10 men. I'm still a bit hoarse but all those red dog fans in Hooters were loving us outside, even if we were getting drenched

Wassa,

I've been watching Forest now for 20 years, through some good and bad times and this side at the moment, the way we are playing is as bad as anything I've seen. Only the dark days of Gary Holt, Nicky Eaden and Eugene Dadi beats it for the worst side!
As for the banner, I never saw that. ND probably ordered the stewards to escort them out and give them life bans!!

I saw the banner it was Mark Arthur out, and yes the little hitlers did get to it and threw two people whoever had made it out but the banner survived a bit longer as was passed to A and B block so were able to keep it for a bit

I couldn't agree more with the original post.

When McClaren was appointed, I was genuinely hopeful of big things as he has shown he can win things with limited resources. Unfortunately, having stuck up for him and kept faith since he arrived, I can no longer do so.

The man just seems to be out of his depth and has no real understanding of how to win matches at this level. Watching him on the touch line today, he seemed to have no passion or fight, which inevitably has a knock on effect to the players.

I can't remember a performance by a Forest team that has lacked so much pride and motivation as it did today...and against our biggest rivals. Most of the team just seem to be going through the motions...casual, lazy play as if they believe they are too good to be in the mess they have found themselves in.

Our defence is an absolute shambles...no communication, no organising and no desire. Chambers should be relieved of the captaincy as soon as possible as it's clearly got to him.

Midfield is not much better but through no fault of their own. Why does McClaren insist on playing two holding midfielders at home?! Then to top it off plays Raddy on the wing! The manager hasn't got a clue.

Up front...Derbyshire and Miller should try and put as much effort into movement as they do whinging and moaning to the officials.

The bottom line is that the attitude and work rate of the players is seriously lacking and that's all down to man management. I disliked BD towards the end of his reign, but hey, he could sure motivate.

I just hope that we somehow find the desire and drive, the kind that Derby showed today, so that we turn things around...and quick.

I hate to say it but the better team won

Talking of Miller I've never seen a player strop so much on a playing field, it seemed every decision was going against him, and he started to throw his dummy out of the pram. That's why we sang "he's going to cry in a minute"

On the serious side of things about your team, your manager needs to sort your defence out. What I saw of Derbyshire and Miller today, they weren't combining well together. I know it's early days, but you don't get much time in this league, cause before you know it you're in the bottom three!!! Sorry to say it, but it's going to be a struggle for your lot this season.

I disagree Wassa. Congrats to Derby today, and enjoy the bragging rights, and I look forward to going to Pride Park in 2012, but I think it's a matter of time before McClaren gets ir right.

Our last 4 league games were Derby, Southampton, Leicester and West Ham. A tough run of fixtures, and they didn't go our way. Our next 4 are Watford, Burnley, Coventry and Birmingham. If things still aren't going wrong after that, then I'll be worried.

Sporty,

Three of those four games were at home, one point out of 9 and that was gained after you were down 0-2. You had a bad start the season you finished 3rd, but if you cannot beat a side down to 10 men after one minute, that indicates deeper problems.

One word of praise for Stevie Mac. He didn't make a big issue about Derby not stopping play for the equaliser. He deserves credit for that as well as laying the blame on his team, and by inference himself, than seeking other excuses.
