No player should be immune from being dropped and Keogh deserves it after Friday. I would leave Vydra out in order to play Palmer in his best position.

Not looking forward to going after Friday, it just felt as though the season had gone. One decent performance could change it all though.

I knew you were cross when I saw you Vidal.

Not again

I'm with Vidal except I would play Vydra instead of either Yman or Thomas. I would also like to see Hanson given a chance sometime.

Has Anya gone walkabout again? Thought he was part of The Plan?

While Hanson is refusing to sign a contract that he is lucky to get he should be banned from being around the 1st team.

Hanson refusing to sign a contract!!!!

Well some team from division 1 might sign him. Personally I wouldn't be bothered as I can't see him being good enough in any position. Too slow for a wing back, too short for defensive midfield, not skilful enough for a central or attacking midfielder.

He’s entitled to consider his options but you would think he would be grateful for any sort of an offer unless the wages offered are very poor. He might be a good fit for Burton when they go down but it’s hard to see them topping what we are offering unless Mel has suddenly gone all sensible on us.

The most worrying thing for me from Friday was not the individual errors, it was the manner of the defeat because we did not look up for it on any level at all: it wasn't nerves either, it was something more basic than that. There was something very wrong that had permeated the team and it looked like a team where the manager had lost the dressing room.

I'm not suggesting that is the case and I've heard nothing of the sort, not even a whisper, but that was how badly they played collectively notwithstanding individual horror shows.

I was bewildered by it: it's an inept a performance as I can recollect.

It’s an improved contract to what he’s got now. I’d withdraw the offer and made him train with the under 14’s. He might get an offer from Burton next year but I can’t see him getting a better offer than Derby. I’d like to see him freed in the summer anyway as he’s not good enough

666. Me and my dad talked about the fact it looked like he’s lost the dressing room. Maybe it’s Chris Martin going and not having him around? I know the players liked having him around and a lot of the young players look up to him.
If GR has lost the dressing room and we don’t reach the play offs is there any way back? My worry is who’s Mel bring in then.

Mick Mc Carthy has certainly given him food for thought.

I think we will find out tomorrow. It’s a tough fixture and even if we lose there needs to be a complete turnaround in the approach. I think the return of Huddz will help a lot. He isn’t demonstrative in any way but he plays confidently. Even before we conceded on Friday (and we started in lively fashion) there was a franticness to the play. I’m all in favour of playing quickly but there still needs to be control. If he and Ledley can boss the midfield we can get back to what saw us rise to second place.

A goal for Nugent would be very welcome, really need his know how for the run in.

You are all against Hanson and I know he ain't that good, but can he be worse than Thorne and Johnson? I would like to see him have a chance, but he might be too young for Gary.

Mick McCarthy, no thanks we might as well get looney back.

Hanson is a lot worse than Thorne and Johnson. I can’t believe they have offered him a new contract. Even more unbelievable is the fact he refuses to sign it. If it was a “big name” player refusing to sign an improved contract everyone would be up in arms and saying don’t play him.

It’s a free country Griff. Derby can make an offer they think is fair and he isn’t forced to sign it. He remains employed by the club and if needed he should play.

Not getting much game time, rather he didn't sign and try to find some first team football than sign and take an easy wage.

We have bigger things to worry about.

My dad says he wants players playing for Derby who will run thro’ brick walls. Could you imagine how long Thorne would be out for if he had to run through a brick wall the day before a game.
I’m not sure if Thorne will play again this season once Huddlestone and Ledley are back. He needs some time to get his back and hip sorted. A good pre-season will do him good

Your dad's right, Griff. Players ready to run through brick walls don't just add to the team through their own performance. I'd like to see another player or two who can inspire team mates to be bigger than they thought they could xx
