Didn't click on it, was that the talksport phonecall?
If so, bloody brilliant from Ray, and from the guy.
A genuine legend of the game. Seems like everyone who met him has a nice story to tell.
Flash
I always thought that you guys saw the very best of Ray.
Admittedly back then I only got to see the match of the day highlights but his long range passing for Chelsea was something else.
For us he got the nickname of the crab and although that wasn't the whole story, it wasn't far off.
Heard it on Talksport. This says a lot about how I saw Ray Wilkins. I never met him, but everyone who did said what a nice genuine bloke he was.
From all of the Rangers family Ray RIP. You will never be forgotten.
They dont make them like they used too. Thank you for the memories.
He was a terrible pundit, but an absolutely wonderful guy, met him outside the ground as a kid. Football through and through, and just a nice person by the sounds of things.
Became chelsea captain at 18 I believe and scored over 10 goals in his first season I believe from midfield. 80 odd England caps too.
Thanks for this Flash. I also heard this on Talksport and started welling up . I know that it's easy to get overly sentimental when someone dies and maybe even exaggerate or overemphasise the good things they did in life but in the case of Ray Wilkins he was truly one of the good guys. Hopefully the club do something extra special for him and something lasting as well to remember him.
Superb (U6486)
Absolutely agree with what you've said.
Bit concerned that Chelsea's tributes will come when they play West Ham.
I have no trust in their fans to behave themselves or be respectful of the situation.
Its apparant that Ray Wilkins would have been a gentleman irrpesective of his chosen profression. That he was a skilled footballer and still took time to help his fellow man says eveything you need to know about him. Not many like him in todays world. RIP
I reckon even West Ham will behave on this occasion
JFDI, you'd better close your eyes and ears mate .

Never met him myself but know a couple of people that have. The people that have time for others are always special. I can't believe the morons from Chelsea or West Ham will sully his memory.
The Chelsea morons won't.
The West Ham ones, who knows. You only have to look as far as Maf to know what type of moron you are dealing with here.

I would expect Chelsea fans to honour ray Wilkins, as for maff he’s banned again on here for whatever reason, and would most likely be nowhere near a football match.

Lol the person who has 1d this has clearly done this because it’s me and not the OP. I’m just passing on a tribute to somebody who was clearly a nice human being, somebody out there is extremely pathetic indeed

and there he is bang on cue.
Really would love to know who would 1 star something like this. Reckon admin should really out them. Strange to go to the effort to do so.
because i tend to find people when i use a link on the Sun, tend to say "refused to read it because of the rag it's in".
I cannot believe i've had to explain myself in what was a tribute to Ray Wilkins but seeing as it's you, it's ok because it's no less than i'd expect from you.

I posted a tribute to an ex city player who had served in World War Two who died and a united fan one stared it and was banned.
Out the person who’s showing disrespect
Op- I also cried when my kids were born.
The horror. The utter horror of it.
