Let's be honest, the favourites barely ever win the grand national. It's so unpredictable horse racing that you might aswell just pick a horses name you like and hope for the best. The amount of times I have looked at tips etc and they swear down this horse will race strong, only to see it come 6th or something. Would go for a 30/1 horse as usually they come in.

Usually the midfield horses in the betting come in strong. Gone for Veux Lion Rouge for a third time and see you at midnight. Midnight is when I'd I make it past the finish post if I started the race.

I’ve done Royal ascot lots of times and I’d love to do the Friday and Saturday at aintree one year.

I've not looked yet, but it is raining heavy today at Aintree and the ground is likely going to be heavy or soft at best.

So I'll be looking for horses that have won before on similar ground at over 3 miles and are not carrying too much weight.
