The manager can only do so much. It was pretty much an identical team to the one that beat United earlier in the season.

Pochettino can't be accountable for Dembele having a terrible game. He gave the ball away for the first goal and didn't track Herrera for the second.

At some point, the players need to look inwards and be made accountable but it is far easier replacing one man than eleven.

Thats why hes been bigging him up tryna create interest and up his price, hes tryna flog him.

Had he chosen his first choice keeper, Herrera's shot should have been saved.

The blame is as much his as the players.

No he isn't - Dembele is a fantastic player and we should not be looking to sell him. We should be identifying players that can improve us and removing deadwood which Dembele certainly isn't.

Hindsight makes everyone a genius.

Are we suddenly going to forget the countless mistakes which have lead to goals as a result of Lloris.

I am a fan of his but let's not make assumptions about Lloris making that save as if he hasn't every done the same or worse.

Vorm got the same treatment before our last FA cup game and he played superbly.

Look. He left our best players on the bench, he played an unfit Harry Kane. he took an age with his substitutions and his team talk/build up was “The FA Cup is not important”

Stop making excuses for him, he facked this up royally and he knows it, which is why he’s getting all tetchy now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sanchez and Vertonghen went three months without losing with Toby sidelined! Alderweireld hasn't been spectacular in the games he has been back in fact he's been average. Why would he want to risk the continuity of Sanchez and Vertonghen.

If Kane had been left out and we lost then there would be an uproar about the world's best striker being on the bench. Even if he wasn't 100% he is better than Llorente and the blames would continue.

Lloris was making huge mistakes recently and I did want him to start regardless but you can see why he didn't. Vorm was great during the FA cup runs and Lloris could have let that in himself or another United chances.

This isn't about excuses for Poch for he can definitely improve on his subsitutions but speaking after the fact is absolutely ridiculous. This same team beat United last time round - was Pochettino wrong then?

Poch is a fool for not starting Winks over Dembele.

Sanchez was good on Saturday. He even had a big hand in our goal

He hyped up his own players too much and possibly they believed the hype.

I do find it amusing that many see this as Tottenham not turning up rather than being beaten by a better side who played well in a tight game.

He’s still reeling from that Portsmouth semi final defeat

No toby wasn't the issue on Saturday, it's just people were fuming pre-game about it and then blamed the result on it.

How poor we were going forward was the problem

It should have been saved by whoever was in goal imo.

Vorm or Lloris.

Poch and all us fans were let down by the players. Poch picked a good team, one which is good enough to beat united. We outplayed them first 20. After the equaliser we fell apart. Players fault

Forget that. It's when the ball didn't cross the line that was given as a goal against Chelsea that he'll most be upset about.

After the failings of Lloris in recent weeks, and the fact Vorm could have done better for the second goal, Poch really now has to start looking at himself for why he decided not to play Gazzaniga.

posted on 23/4/18

Much like how no top manager should take on the England job, why would a top manager take us on?? The players required to get to that next level of city united Chelsea, is out of reach due to the financial side. So they can’t do any better than Poch

posted on 23/4/18

To be fair to Poch he made six changes for the Brighton game so he was clearly prioritising the semi as a way of winning a trophy. Although not picking Lloris for the semi was a weird one.

Hugo Lloris is really weak at shots that go low and hard to his right (I can think of 5 off the top of my head in the past year) there is no guarantee he would have saved it.

I think from Poch comments he was genuinely really confident and is just a bit gutted that it seems that we have failed - again.

united did a proper job on us tbh. mourinho set them up professionally and once we conceded the equaliser it was always going to be hard.

posted on 23/4/18

Nah we did a job on ourselves as per usual. Controlling the game at 1-0 just like Juve and West Ham

In fairness you lost to a side you’ve been trailing all season.

Ok there was the Wembley factor but the way you hear some fans and media going on you’d think a major upset occured on Saturday
