Off the field it all went off quite calmly, no more bother than any other Celtic/Rangers game.
No doubt a handful of spunkmonkeys were up to no good but all in all the pre-match panic was as we all thought a bit of a panic over nowt.

Apparently King told Gerrard that he would get £10m for Morelos and £5m for Wallace

So I'm reliably informed

I don't think yesterday will alter Gerrard's thinking either way, he will have known beforehand that it's a massive job for him to take on.

When Celtic play like they did yesterday we won't be beaten in Scotland regardless of what anyone else does.

I still think getting someone in who knows the game up here and can get Rangers beating everyone else consistently is their best chance of success.

Gerrard will make mistakes and the issue is I don't think fans will give him a lot of time to get it right.

I’m not sure it’s all the dof jfk, I think Allen has spoken in the past and said that he and the manager agree targets etc

There’s plenty to beat us bears over the head with but I’m not sure this is one . It’s a common role throughout Europe , they obviously work together and decide on targets using varying factors such as do they want to come, wages, can we afford fee etc

its not something i have ever liked tbh, i feel the manager carries the brunt so should have the bulk of the say so.

If we appoint Gerrard, I am gonna back him, of course I will as a fan. Do I think it's the right move? No. But I will back him as Celtic fans would in our position. We will get Celtic fans on in a years saying it was a disaster we told you so, but what are we supposed to do?

Nah we can’t stand still on free agents. IF we waited then chances are they could go elsewhere.
The dof is there to provide continuity regardless of manager situ.

As I say, it’s not really a big deal except when it involves rangers in Scotland

Anyone who thinks Lawwell doesn’t have a massive hand in celtics transfers is deluded. He’s just not called a dof tho.
