Couldn’t finish Snyder’s cut, it’s 4 hours long and it reminded me how terrible the JL film really is.

Someone give me the cliffnotes version of how we ended up with this Snyder cut again?

The original production fell off a cliff after Snyder's daughter committed suicide so Whedon was hired to finish the film which then Dover off the edge so fans petitioned for Snyder to finish the cut as they couldn't face only having the theatrical release so they pushed WB to the edge so they let him finish it and here we are.

Dame Helen Mirren has joined the cast of Shazam: Fury of the Gods as the villain.

I don't like her that much tbh.

How close does a film have to be before the vortex engulfs you?

Just finished that Flashpoint Paradox.
Very interesting, totally threw me, especially after seeing Justice League, I’m like ‘what the hell is going on here!’ It’s all flipped!
Didn’t quite get how we got into this situation, and then how he got back out of it... just seemed like a very bad dream;
But still, very brutal.
So a film version of this is in the works is it?

I liked falcon and winter soldier.
One bit bugged me though, how falcon was kicking baddies around like he has the strength of cap America.
Other than that sillyness it was decent.

One of DC's best animated movies. He wanted to save his mum and without knowing it, he activated the speedforce and changes the future.

Most of DC's animated stuff is better than the live action movies.

Well he is Captain America now or he's going to become him over the course of this show presumably. I still think Bucky is a far better choice for Cap for a multitude of reasons, primarily because he's also a super soldier. Falcon is just a well trained soldier with wings. Not sure how that makes him Captain America.

There will be no new Captain America but Falcon will hopefully take on the shield and represent America as the main symbol.

I agree that Bucky from a skills standpoint is more suited to the role but Falcon has the core values needed to be a symbol. Remember, Bucky was always the confident and almost arrogant one in Captain America 1, where as Steve was shy and timid but he always had the core values needed to take up the mantle.

Falcon is OP in this but I guess it's a show about him, so it makes sense to enhance his action scenes and abilities. Power scaling has always been an issue in the MCU, which is why I just accept it and move on.

Yeah but Bucky went on a journey of redemption over the course of the movies where he surely learned those core values.

And so you're saying that Falcon won't actually become Captain America ? I thought the whole point of this show was to lead to that.

Also we've been following Bucky's journey for the last ten years over several movies. We've seen more of him and his character arc over excellent movies like Winter Soldier. Falcon on the other hand has just been a C character who's popped up in stuff like Ant-man initially. I don't think the audience are anywhere near as invested in him as in Bucky. I'm certainly not anyway.

Bucky did go on a journey of redemption but that journey is not over. He's still coming to terms with what he done and the first episode highlights this, when he states that the only peace he had was in Wakanda.

The show is leading to Falcon becoming the symbol that cap was and taking up the shield.
