Ok so here's my spoilee thoughts on episode 5:

The opening scene was great. I felt for Walker because the weight and pressure of the shield were too much for him and his best friend dying was the last straw. I believe he wanted to be a good cap but ultimately he wasn't ready for the role and perhaps never would have been. The fight between him,Sam and Bucky was intense and it showed how far down the path Walker had gone because he almost killed Sam.

This was a big episode for Sam in terms of development and growth. The scene when him and bucky are throwing the shield and he tells Bucky that what Steve says doesn't matter, it's what you believe inside, finally made me understand why he gave the shield up. Steve believed in Sam but Sam never truly believed in himself. He never felt worthy and that's why he was ready to give the shield up to Isiah. He felt Isiah deserved the shield for his suffering but failed to realise that the shield meant something very different to Isiah, it meant oppression and pain. I think Sam meeting Isiah and then spending time at home made him realise that it's not about what others think he should do, it's about what he believes in internally. The final scene of him finally mastering the shield was the physical journey of deserving the shield but mentally, he was ready. Pretty sure the briefcase from Wakanda contains a new suit too.

Zemos story came full circle with Bucky pretending to kill him but then leaving him alive for the Wakandans. That's a nice callback to civil war where Zemo was ready to die only for Black Panther to remind him that life had not finished with him just yet.

Looks like Karli and her team will be part of the big finale which will take place in New York and Im sure it will not disappoint.

My main questions going into episode 6:

Is Sharon the power broker?
Who was the woman that gave Walker the card? Hydra?
If Sharon isn't the broker, who is?
Is there still more serum out there?
Since we are going to New York, could we see cameos?
What's Walkers goals now that he was removed as cap?

I fell asleep again. Got to Bucky meeting a shrink and dating some chick...this time next year I’ll have finished the season

Set up to be the best episode of the series and turned out to be the worst. Hopefully the finale is more satisfying

I don't think episode 5 was set up to be the best of the series. It's clear the final battle in new york which is episode 6 is the big one.

I think he’s saying Ep 5 was a set up to Ep 6, which should be the best.
I didn’t expect, that kind of episode.
For what it was, again nicely shot, good acting, but for me, just seemed some scenes were out of place.
The hit the brakes, and everyone went back to do their own thing, I mean, with this potential huge crisis, Falcon gets to work on his boat.
Really?.. what’s the plan, ‘we’ll just wait for when the flag smashers reappear’ ?
What no, investigating?!, nobody has a clue on anything?
We’ll just wait til something blows up and more people die, that’ll be the signal...
I’ll admit, John Walker character has impressed me, I thought he was gonna be a stereotypical character who’d be easy to hate on.
I dunno where his story is going, but agreed it is set for a pretty good conclusion.
Overall, I have liked this show, and just felt the momentum didn’t have to bring to a halt like it did.

The marvel shows dont really excite me in general these days tbh

They peaked with Daredevil 1+2 and Jessica Jones 1

Movie spin offs id rather see as their own film

I hope John Walker isn’t killed off on the finale. He’s a great character and could be useful in future shows
