I'm looking forward to Spiderman 3 for various reasons, but I also can't help but think this would have been a great chance to introduce Kraven. Would have been a perfect setup to have him hunt down Spidey on the run.

Hollands Spiderman isn't ready for Kraven. You'd need an older more seasoned spidey to take on someone at Kravens level. It would be like putting Holland against Carnage. Too one sided.

True. If they brought in a feeble Kraven, it could work but I can't see fans liking it.

Just Eternals, Thor & Dr. Strange for me. Shang Chi also to an extent but that's because I have a weakness for kung-fu movies.

The Hulk was done well in Avengers 1 and Ultron but I suspect they were less concerned about him because they don't have the rights.

Thor was quite accurate in his first few outings but the movies were not great, hence why they made him into a comedic relief, which was probably an attempt at trying to resell him to the public.

Shang Chi only interests me because the martial arts aspect and the Mandarin finally being done right.

No idea who any of these characters are, aside from the mandarin but it looks interesting. I'm liking the martials arts on show and they are obviously setting large parts of this in china, so it should have that unique feeling. Felt very unlike an MCU movie, which isn't a bad thing at the moment.

And on that note I'm very interested in winning the lottery this week.

Yep. There was a scene in the forest that reminded me of crouching tiger hidden dragon.

Looks fun enough to watch. Fight sequences look proper too.

Agreed. Just a fun unique watch without ever promising Civil War type of quality.

Some quotes about the Mandarin:

While the first trailer has made it clear that the magical Ten Rings will be portrayed in a vastly different way to the comic books, all we really know about this Mandarin - played by Tony Leung and renamed Wenwu - is that he's Shang-Chi's father and the leader of a criminal/terrorist organisation.

Never heard of him, nor am I generally a huge fan of martial arts films.

Saw he kept posting stuff on Insta then taking it down and reposting something different

I'm surprised he made it this long tbh, I know he appreciates the role and stuff but he's not the kinda person who lives to be in a DC show, plus he's kinda blunt and the network treated some of the other stars badly as far as I can tell.

On another note they were filming Supergirl outside my work the other week and she is just as cute in person as on the show. Can't jump as high as I would've thought though

And I liked the latest episode of TFSW - the start was really intense and showed Walker going fully off the deep end with no real hesitation.

I thought the race stuff was interestingly done, with the juxtaposition of two generations who have stories of two completely different Americas & Sam making his peace with the shield. But I guess as a white guy in UK it's probably not really aimed at me so who knows how it resonated with others.

Also enjoyed Buckey becoming a bit more relaxed and being more himself in a homely environment (& flirting).

Did make me laugh when they showed the two of them throwing the shield around easily, then 5 mins later Sam was training and couldn't catch it at all

And finally Shang Chi trailer, know nothing about him but it looks fun enough
