He ain’t even stepping down. He’s taking a ‘sabbatical’, put in a Supply teacher in temp charge, and then he’s coming back. Maybe he’ll be a fully formed Butterfly when he returns.

I think Waitiki is defo one of those who is buying into his own hype, which then means he loses some of his charm. Plus didn't he come up with the story for this one, whereas with Ragnarok he just directed? So I kinda expected it to be worse, partly because the bar for Ragnarok is so high tho

Thor 4 doesn't seem to be getting many positive reviews, based on the ones I have seen. A lot of comments about it being too much of a comedy and the story lacking any stakes.

This is who Thor is now, in the MCU. For those that enjoyed Ragnarok, this is what comes next, a sequel that doubles down on humour and overlooks everything else.
