The good thing is the managers at both clubs wil be respectful towards each other - wish some board members at both clubs would follow suit instead of trying to ingratiate themselves with the numpty element in their own support.
It’s a shame that some managers can’t be more respectful of other clubs.
To be honest, I don’t know why the media ask Rodgers or Lennon about Rangers. Who cares what they think? Rangers fans don’t and I don’t see why Celtic fans would either. It’s just more sensationalist schiedt.
Seems to be a new thing - can’t remember Smith ever being asked by the media for his opinion on how Celtic treated Barnes etc.
What sort of time do you guys think Gerrard will get?
As a Liverpool fan I see this as great experience for him before being a contender for the Liverpool job in 2022 when Klopp is done.
What will Gerrard have to achieve to get that long though?
Beating Celtic to the title looks tough with their resources.
Will finishing 2nd and being competitive (cup wins) be seen as enough or a few bad results and he will be sacked after 6 months?

Gerrard will have a great list of contacts in world football, and will probably be able to bring in a free or two, a couple of loans, and spend 10 to 15 million which would probably be enough to see Rangers give some sort of realistic challenge to Celtic.
Might even dust off his own boots.

As a Liverpool fan I see this as great experience for him before being a contender for the Liverpool job in 2022 when Klopp is done.

I’d say 2nd next year is a minimum.
Depends on how much he gets to spend really. Can hardly demand that we win the league if we spend a fraction of Celtics budget.
There will be improvement no doubt - rangers are at rock bottom in terms of playing squad - new players will come in and improve them so next year will be promising but it will be his second season where if he fails to win the league there will be rumbling - 3rd season - no title - he’ll be out with a years comp in his pocket

What’s the minimum the Bears want from Rangers under SG?

Treble and automatic qualification to the CL by winning the Europa league, save us coming back early for preseason and the slog of the 4 qualifying rounds in some far flung European countries.
