Seems to be some substance to the rumour.

Not really a priority position for us. Defenders and keeper needed more.

actually, i believe that the injuries at the end of the season added to the lack of readiness/quality in our back up fwds has highlighted for more quality depth in these positions.
we lost cout, lallana, ox
ings, solanke etc either not ready or not good enough

definitely need players of this ilk or pulisic or lemar. right quality levels. just attitude and work rate needs assessment

The only reason I was really annoyed about not replacing Coutinho was strength and depth!

Our front 3 rely on each other’s qualities and if 2 of them aren’t firing or even at least one is injured then there’s a problem!

We have been quite lucky with injuries with our front 3 tbh!

Firmino’s a class act there’s no denying that, but if others around him aren’t firing then he goes missing and we don’t have any other options... ings has been probably underplayed but the fab 3 have been unstoppable, but there needs to be proper depth and then another GK and CB

As a Spurs fan I would be delighted if Lpool spent £62m on Fekir, he is a poor mans Wilf Zaha

You don’t seem to understand what ‘a poor mans’ means.

Which isn’t surprising.

We both know you don't mean this. If he'd be going to Spurs you'd be delighted I'm sure. It's true that the French league isn't the best, but the boy is talented and shares traits with Coutinho and is one of the best players Ligue 1 has to offer. There is more reason of excitement than caution - if it's all true.

Spurs couldn't afford Zaha or Fekir.

Decent read with a Coutinho comparison:

I’m delighted about this, he’a been outrageous this season and is exactly what we’re missing in midfield. A partnership with him and Naby Keita will be mouthwatering. I’m actually really pleasantly surprised at this, this is a player with the quality and intelligence to play for any team and a serious eye for goal.

The foolish among the opponfans will slate the potential signing but they did the same with all our other signings under Klopp and all have been value for money at the very least so far. Only Salah has failed and proven to be a poor mans walcott!
