Could be a of a couple of things IMO:
Frustration that we always frustrate, never fulfilling our ‘potential’ and usually bottle it.
Drab football, sideways and backwards lots of the time and (often my bugbear) a distinct lack of attempts on target. There have been many games we have achieved 2-3??
Anyhow, in Rowett we trust, I think we’re getting there.
UTR
I think you’re right on the drab football Baz. 3 at the back seems to be more entertaining and productive of late but would we have got to second playing that way who knows? The potential or never fulfilling it also holds water as a reason.
Or could it be as simple as mis-quoting the figures?
"Forest have amazingly grown their figures by 4000 or so, so sit on 24000 ish about 3000 below us.
Embarrassingly we still could have played two games in front of an empty PP and still have beaten them on overall attendance.
What do Rams contribute the downturn to?"
The fact they've not played in the top division this century and are stuck in an era when roller-disco was cool.
Roller-Disco. Yet to arrive at a venue near here.......
Weren’t Forest virtually giving them away this season with all sorts of perks and incentives? Before the bubble burst!!
Ps I notice this is on the Forest board too

How dare you?! Not last week, I heard some youngster sat near me at the CG announce to his friend “Roller disco is da bomb, fam” so what do you know?...

Prices have become a bit more rational under the new owners. Ranging between £20-£26 on average. If they have been giving them away, the rotters missed me out!
Good luck in the play offs. 👍🏼
The figures tell the obvious story, one team on the way up, another on the way down. Work it out (preferably on your own boards).

I'm surprised you didn't read my comment back? Pretty sure I offered you three options Baz. The money now, or a couple of double or quits option.
Then replied with something along the lines of 'Silly Baz, you've only gone and reached the POs'. Ask Tommo, he told you to take the double, but you went for the easy option.
Won't be long now, you've almost fluffed your lines and hurrah! You've got a Forest fan to comment on another attention seeking WUM article 👍🏽
Will makes a good point about pricing policy. We shouldn't under-estimate the effect that the current financial situation has had, in making it more difficult for the 'natural' football supporter, the working-age family man, to attend matches on a regular basis. I don't think that Derby have necessarily had this right in recent times and maybe that's only just started to be recognised latterly.
I also think that current pricing structures result in relatively more senior and junior supporters attending these days. Nowt wrong with that, but, arguably, this may have an effect on the traditional matchday 'football atmosphere', making it a less enjoyable experience for some and keeping people away.

Yes, most grounds are a little on the serene side these days. It is noticeable that the 18-30 category is nowhere near as represented currently as it was in the days of the terraces. Clubs are starting to realise this. Forest have introduced a 18-23 years old category in their new pricing structure for example.

Appears that Rowett has been playing you all and knew exactly what he was doing all along.
Only embarrasing thing here is Rameses continuing obsession about stuff like this
That's more than can be said about your playoff's! igor
Anyway stuff attendances let's turn this thread into a discussion of the playoff's.
I'm rooting for Fulham goals for, they're well up on Cardiff's anti football.
When a team like Cardiff can get promoted with Colin's tactics, is it time to change the rules of the game?
Hey sheep lets be avvin U!
Had that conversation with a Forest fan at the Brizzle game. He was full of admiration for Colin and his record. I said it is all short-termism. Never sustains at the higher level as it is a style that cannot be easily changed to a more advanced form of football that is required.
Both our grounds are 80% full. So there are more empty seats at PP than at the CG.
Forest have already surpassed last summer’s season card sales so there should be some even healthier crowds next season at the CG. Despite a bitty season, that is good going. Fans feel like they are supporting a forward thinking club again at last.
