2 men who’ve never been head coach in they’re lives and have very little coaching experience between them.
Can’t wait!
Can't believe a club the size of Arsenal, are contemplating making Arteta Wengers replacement.
Insane.

Almost as insane as replacing Fagan with the attacker...
Josh Kroenke is experimenting after his LA Rams mini success so he thinks it can be replicated here too. Firstly, PL is a demanding league you can’t compare to NFL and the top teams are all run by top top managers. Secondly, we have been stagnant after Wenger barren years so the fans aren’t in jovial mood, this could be even toxic than last season.

Paisley replaced Shankley, Fagan replaced Paisley and Dalglish took over from there.
People from within the club following on with successful winning formula.
You’ve bombed a legend out because it had gone completely flat and want to replace him with a man from another club.
No comparison.
Oh, so coaching experience isn't the issue here. It is the fact Arteta got his at a different (more successful) club?
Fack me, there are some ridiculous caaaants out tonight.

If your talking about Dalglish replacing Joe Fagan, there is no real comparison whatsoever with Atreta replacing Wenger.
Bombed a legend out, btw. A rather pathetic misrepresentation of facts to suit a weak argument.

In what way. Was Dalglish an experienced manager with lots of experience and success? Or was he someone identified by the club as someone with the ability to manage the club?
Same as with Arteta and Arsenal.

What experience he’s been a coach at city for 2 seasons ffs.
I guess if Arteta had stayed as Arsenal coach instead, learning from a man he had already worked under for years, would have been better than going off and getting new ideas from a very successful manager at another club. Allowing him to get a more varied experience is obviously very bad for him, he should be a Wenger clone to carry us in the same direction we were already in...

Forced to leave because his performance wasnt good enough. Simple as that.
Forced to leave because of the fans
Are you happy with him being given the job?
At this point in time nobody knows what will happen, he could be the next best thing since Pep or he could be the worst thing since John Barnes.
Anyway, sources say Fekir to Liverpool is 99% done deal, happy with that!
Christ, even Rangers fans were somewhat worried about bringing in a figure like Steven Gerrard into scottish football without little experience of coaching, but you can guarantee hell at least command respect amongst the players due to the player, and leader he was during his playing career.
To appoint a somewhat nondescript personality like Arteta, to a club the size of Arsenal, is almost suicidal in my opinion.
Wont end well.
Are you happy with him being given the job?
======
I will give him a chance. We have done well in our recent employment - think Sven, Raul and Huss are excellent additions as we restructure.
Fekir went off injured again tonight. Wouldn't be confident of him succeeding in the PL nowadays. Shame, he looked like he would be a mega star before his bad injury problems.
In what way. Was Dalglish an experienced manager with lots of experience and success?
====================================
No he wasnt.
But he was well aware of what it took at that time, in the mid 80's, when Liverpool were the dominant force in England, and Europe, to achieve a level of continuity.
Aligned with the level of respect he had within the club, and with his ex team mates, as the greatest player to ever play for the club, and one of the greatest players ever to grace English, and European football, he at least had a head start in respect of being listened to when he talked.

Strange that your opinion is somewhat different from people who have actually worked with him...

Im sure hes a lovely fella and all that, but Im talking about his on field, and off field persona.
He comes across very beige.
A man who spends that much time shaping his eyebrows, isnt the type you want next to you in the trenches, or someone you look to for inspiration when things arent going too well.
So just to recap, no real experience, no personality, not that great a footballer, overly groomed eyebrows.
Wow, I thought opinions on here couldn't sink any lower then JLou starts talking about eyebrows
