I don't understand this teams raise their game against us!..

We are a Championship team, there are another 23 teams in the Championship, they're all playing for the same goal!..

We should get over ourselves and come to terms with the fact that nobody raises their game against us!..

We're the same as any other team that has to win or be beaten!..

Wolves, Cardiff and Fulham did what we cant do, so, maybe not enough teams upped their games against them!..

Don’t go bamboozling people by speaking common sense Germany.

Refs are biased against Leeds too. We never get any 50 50 decisions.

In what way do Cardiff

Who were recently relegated from the Prem and have a manager who has arguably the best record of promotion in England not expect and demand promotion?

Seriously what are you basing that on?

Manager: we need to be at our best today

Captain: Listen boss, you don’t have to tell us to up our game today, we all know we have to... after all it’s not every week you get to come up against players of the quality of Phillips, Okane and Wiedwald.

Manager: I’m glad you appreciate the job in front of you... also have I mentioned they are playing Dallas at right back and have Lassoga upfront

Captain: oh crap... 150% lads, we need to give it our all

Said no team ever...

They've been pretty average in the championship for a while and they should not be able to compete with the likes of Derby, Leeds, Villa, Boro, Sheff Wed and any other sides with cash or parachute payments. They shouldnt be expecting promotion giving the reject players they've signed either.

Since relegation from the premiership they haven’t finished outside the top half...

And by that logic our fans shouldn’t expect promotion

Also all parachute payments last for four years... so Cardiff have been getting them since their relegation...

I think it's silly to suggest that anyone went into this season expecting Cardiff to challenge for promotion off the back of signing players like Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and having Sol Bamba as the key in their defence.

They have defied most expectations by getting automatically promoted, and I suspect would have defied most expectations by even challenging for a play off berth.

Of course they were expected to challenge for the playoffs

They have parachute payments and Neil Warnock.

Yes they have done better than probably expected going up automatically but I can’t understand anyone who says that you didn’t think they could and would be up there.

The lack of knowledge from two posters, is quite hard to believe

It’s like Cardiff haven’t spent a fortune on wages and transfer fees

They spent £7m on Madine

i would like to see our ten million investment go to bring in two quality players.
rather than a bunch of hit or miss journey men.

Mont

Agreed

We’ve wasted millions this season on 20 players

so would I.

But truth be told we need four or five players to make our team competitive

that's true matty, but we have to start somewhere.

Yeah. They spent a lot on one player in January to make themselves competitive and keep themselves where they already were. What we should have done during the Grayson and Monk seasons where we were competeting.

They did not however do this in the summer, before the season started, which was the period to which I was referring to in regards to fan expectations going into the season.

They did spend money on ward and Tomlins. Brought aload of players in.

You do know players don’t play for free ???

Not sure what you mean by this. Is Ward not currently on loan at Cardiff with Tomlin on loan at Forest? They've not spent a fee on either for this season.

You do understand that if you sign a player but then send him out on loan you still have to pay the transfer fee?

Not sure how to explain This too you.

They spent quite a lot of money on Tomlins and Ward last summer. The fact that they could afford to send both out on loan after it didn’t work out and spend £7m on Madine to replace them, says they have spent a load of money.

This idea that Warnock has got them promoted on a shoe is ludicrous.

Sorry. Miscommunication. Talking about the wrong Ward. It appears they have two. One on loan from Forest, the other signed for a pittance in the summer.

Signing Danny Ward from Rotherham for 1.8 million doesn't demonstrate a great deal of ambition. I think you're entirely missing the point.

The fan expectation for Cardiff certainly wasn't for them to have the season that they have had. They weren't tipped for promotion, or even really to reach the playoffs. With the only thing in their favour in this regard being Warnock.

You argument seems to centre on a striker signed for relatively nothing from a relegates club and a striker signed for a large amount from a club facing relegation, but who was signed in January, when Cardiff were already challenging for promotion.

I am talking specifications about their fan expectation going into the season, ergo the signing of Madine has nothing to do with it.

And Leeds fans expected promoted !!!

Nobody I know did and haven’t for years

Why do constantly get things wrong and then reckon you either didn’t say it or just twist it.

Seriously you go anything remotely right

Felix a good keeper
Pennington a great signing
Nothing wrong with Phillips and okane in midfield.

We all get loads wrong, but your something else pal

I'm really struggling to understand what your actual point is here. You appear to be just jumping in on an argument to.perpatuate this one way grudge you've got going on despite actually knowing what I'm saying.

Then when it turns out that this is the case you resort to wheeling out these old things you claim that I've said. Getting pretty boring.

In comparison to the investments of a lot of the championship clubs expected to challenge for promotion, yeah it is.
