I organised the one for the last world cup and got Ghana. Some girl who didn't have the first clue about football won it. I should have refused to give her the $100 she won!

I remember Whitty at work pulling out Greece, he was the one left laughing at the end.

Our sweepstake has 20 quid for the worst lowest scoring points team.

We only have 14 members of staff so i doubt it.

I’m going to do ours at work, but like to have prizes for more than just winners / top 3 so people with the worst teams still have an interest.

Stuff like, first red card, lowest points total, first team knocked out, most conceded, top scorers etc

Means the prize money for the winner is less but it’s just a bit of fun.

Some office loser challenged us when we were discussing it the other day... “isn’t this gambling?” no course not!

Bloody typical.

I’m hoping South Korea have a shocker and are the worst performing side.

I got Belgium, could be better but could have been a lot worse.

I got Togo in 2006. Never forget that. Haha.

Ours hasn’t been done yet. Reckon you’re on to a winner with ze Germans though. Can’t see past them unless Spain have finally rebuilt.

We had half the amount of staff as teams so the guy that did it seeded the draw so everyone got 1 of the top half ranked teams and 1 of the bottom, it was based on Fifa rankings on that day.

One guy got the best pretty much of both halves, Germany and Uruguay.

Another got Sweden (think they were the worst of the ‘good half&rsquo and Saudi Arabia.

I got Spain and Egypt.

Prizes for top 3 and a couple of ones for worst side/most conceded or something I think.
