No. I think he's a level below what we want to be. Milan are not very strong at the moment. We need players that improve the first 11, not another squad player

Nope, Lyon is his level at the moment. He has talent but he struggled mentally with us and I feel he would probably still would now. Maybe if he continues to develop and can grow mentally he will have the chance to prove himself at a bigger club in a few years.

Could be another KDB/Salah situation

I keep reading this. Are United fans all certified psychotherapists?

How did he show that he doesnt have the mentality to play for United? Because if its because he played bad, than your whole squad lacks mentality.

He seems to have a strong mentality, because after the nightmare at United, he went to Lyon and showed he is a good player. And he is the only certainty in the Dutch national team. He never let United get him down. Strong fellah

Depay shone in a weak Dutch league and has just done so in a weak French league.

Even Balotelli has just had a good season in France.

Stories like Depay being dropped, then turning up to play in youth games in a baby Bentley, things like that.

i suppose if you were on 100k a week you'd have it all in a piggy bank and be saving it for a rainy day?

There's no point bringing him back with Mourinho in charge, we know how flair players end up regressing once they join this club.

Just because you have cash doesn't mean you have to flaunt it, especially when your manager is trying to make a point. It shows a lack of class. I was wrong, it was a Rolls Royce, but it sends a wrong message to U21 players.

Depay doing it in a tougher league. You just have to look at the likes of Hazard who struggled in Ligue 1 then came to a weaker league and walked it. Same with Salah, struggled in Italy and then first season in the weak prem he breaks the all time scoring record, whilst playing in midfield. Is the PL the weakest league in the world? What makes it so easy?

He is one of the worst players we have had since Fergie and we have had some donkeys. He had one good game against that random team in the Europa but apart from that he was awful, he couldn't dribble, he couldn't shoot, he couldn't cross, he wasn't skillful. He's doing ok in a joke league.

posted on 7/6/18

Can't fault how he's played for Lyon to be fair to him;

League - 19 goals, 13 assists
Europa - 3 goals, 3 assists

Stats that better the likes of Mbappe & Di Maria, in a lesser side, can't really be argued.

Everyone knows the players on the big money all have another car like a Corsa or a Punto, in case they ever get dropped to the reserves and have to make sure they don't look like they're showing off.

It's difficult to judge the attacking players who were signed by LvG because are football so bad and restrictive on attacking players. I mean, didn't he tell Rooney he should only be touching the ball 10 times in each half or something?
