Yeah but that’s my point, most weren’t initially first party, all that happens is that they get swept up by the platforms.
That’s fine for a few, it is never good for that to be many though as people end up having to buy two.
Is Spider-Man a full on exclusive or will it be a timed one like rise of the tomb raider was on Xbox one?
And of course they do - Rockstar, Bethesda, Valve to name a few. Insomniac who are doing Spider-Man aren’t first party.
Melton I have never felt the need to buy two consoles, Sony have always delivered the quality gaming I need.
As Melton said Gunner, Spiderman is a PS4 exclusive.
That’s fine, I wasn’t talking only about you Amiga. It doesn’t for me, so I’ve got both.
I was also talking about the future direction if the continued buying up of developers and subsequent exclusivity continues, like Microsoft getting Ninja Theory.
New title by square Enix: The Quiet man. Didn’t really get much from the trailer though
A lot of xbox owners are feeling the same and buying a PS4 melton.
I doubt MS buying Ninja is going to change anything.
When it was time to upgrade my last gen console after many good years with my Xbox 360, I chose the PS4 console for two main reasons: firstly I had always wanted to play the likes of uncharted and the last of us
Secondly I didn’t like how Microsoft was promoting the Xbox one, I think at the start it was going to require an always on internet connection. So that put me off. To be fair they did change a lot of that after a backlash but I’m glad I chose PS4.took me a while to get used to trophies instead of achievement points though!
But I like seeing the different games both parties offer, watched Microsoft’s show last night and they focused purely on games and had a few decent exclusives although more third party ones with the exception of halo and gears 5.

It won’t, you’re completely missing my point though.
Basically, Halo, Forza, Gears.
Gamers are demanding more and switching Sony.
MS have a lot of catching up to do.
No Melton I see your point, but the loss of Ninja is not a great loss when Sony are churning out so many exclusives.
For me and probably the majority of PS4 gamers, it literally is of little consequence.
Anyway, let’s all focus on the games that are being snowed off at E3 can’t wait for cyberpunk 2077!

Yes and think what they are going to do to try and do that and the subsequent impact, and then go back to my initial point. It’s got nothing to do with the loss of Ninja, that was only an example, it’s the direction of travel that it creates - it’s not even about this generation.
There is that little difference between the underlying offerings that the only differential becomes the exclusives, which means all they start to do is buy up the developers and the subsequent exclusivity they get
It works for Nintendo as they’ve got a substantially different product anyway. If it gets too much on the others though, all it creates is an issue for the consumer.
It’s the same as the splitting of the tv rights.

And cyberpunk is going to be amazing
The PS4 is not lacking games, xbox is, Ninja Theory is a band aid, I doubt it will be enough to stop the flow of green blood, certainly not this gen.
Maybe MS can get their first party going, their record isn't great, but we will see.
So you didn’t get my point at all then
melton, your point is meaningless this gen.
Get back to me next gen, we will see if the great gaming apocalypse is coming.
I'm not holding my breath.
Hasnt been a single game so far Ive seen that has actually interested me, althouth i am feeling im becoming less and less interested in the industry as a whole so maybe thats more of a me problem
Seen at E3 Schmilverware, or this gen?

E3, although now that you mention it I haven't finished a game since The Witcher 3 so maybe this gen is fair too
