Wrestling is not fake but it is scripted.Many wrestlers have acquired real injuries in wrestling matches for WWE and other wrestling entertainment industries!
So the injuries are scripted too?
Some are, yes, if they need time away for something e.g. making a film.
OR if someone has a genuine injury, they'll script that body part being injured so it looks legit while the wrestler has time off for an operation or recovery from it.
Of course genuine injuries occer e.g. Dean Ambrose 9 months off with a torn triceps tendon.
Triple H tearing his quad was a nasty one.
Bob Holly's neck injury too.
