Was clearly the game plan by England given every single player seemed to hoof it forward to Rashford or Sterling.

Alli was invisible, but that a concern of mine from the off with him in cm.

Young was poor but part of that was due to the above.

Lingard missed a good chance again.

Kane missed 2 (well 3) very good chances. Unsure why he kept coming so deep.

Walker and stones had their brain farts, one costing us the game.

Sterling proved he isn't ever going to gain a brain cell.

Agree busy, young side though hope they get better

Other players were playing it long but didn’t matter where Henderson was on the pitch or where sterling or rashford were he just hoofed it

There was one example when sterling was inside his own half and Henderson just pumped it 50 yards forward when he had no one around him

I think we actually looked a lot better when dier came on and started passing the ball

We did but definitely looked like Southgate told them to play balls over the top more than usual.

The midfield basically accepted before a ball was kicked they couldn’t match Modric and Rakitic

Didn’t even try so just lobbed it over them constantly
