Great to have the matchday thread back Highland. Here's hoping we will have a season to be happy about, I'm not too worried about relegation, but am still not convinced we have the team to challenge at the top.
Stoke have a big team, but are susceptible to fast flowing football, something we hope Bielsa has created with this team. Time will tell, but I fear an aerial bombardment tomorrow, and can't see us coping with it.

Score prediction, no idea, could be close, but I think we will lose to them.

happy new season highland going for a shock 2-1 victory. i'll be shocked if that happens but i will not predict a loss. bamford and harrison to score.

Montleeds, last season when I predicted that we would win, I was always wrong, so hoping this season I am wrong again with my prediction.

As stated on a different thread I am more nervous this season the any other before. Thought the bookies are asking us to part with our hard earned cash as they rate us ti finish top 6, the buggers, I am unsure of WTF we will do. We will have a better picture after 8 games I think.

Given their on-pitch riches, I think that we need Stoke to have a relegation hangover and for them to be shocked at the style of play in the Championship compared to the Prem.

Got everything crossed that we get at least a point out of this one.

Glad to be back, will I say that at 6pm tomorrow? Probably not. We've got players to hurt them but we're looking desperately lightweight in other areas. Think it'll be a 2-2 draw, it's as positive as I can be.

did you ever watch stoke last season? They were absolute crap. They’ll not score 4 goals against a set of static dustbins.

Welcome back, Highland. Intriguing fixture with two teams with a lot to prove. This time around, our recruitment has been much more focused and we've brought in players in positions we were weak in. So, I think this is an improved team. Also, we are going to see players like Klich and Roberts play a bigger role. Will it work tomorrow? Without Foreshaw and Pontus, I can't see us holding out against their big players. Also, I think McLean will be the key for them. I know him well as an ROI player, and he is seriously underrated. He delivers a huge number of quality balls every game. If we can stop him, we have a chance. A lot depends on Samu as well. He needs to step up too. His move back to Spain hasn't happened, so there will be some disappointment there, but he can be a game changer on his day and now, he has players who are quick and intelligent alongside him.
In short, I see goals at both ends, but hard to see us taking a point. 1-2 Stoke.
