Beating lesser sides is how league football works Sandy. It’s literally the point of playing the game.
That said, I’m not getting carried away. West Ham were poor and we did exactly what we needed to do.

Where to start?? Well how about the guy i singled out a year ago..roughly, i said he is likely to be one of the best mf players there is; N Keita, now you can hopefully see what i mean. He will only get better in tune with this team, he will be a monster for us
Next defensively i thought we looked solid, no dramas and even when alisson miskewed one it turned into an excellent pass; gomez looked assured and VVD just said show me a better CB world...cmon. The guy is a rolls royce of a player 100%.
We controlled that game, managed it and played in 2nd gear last 30 mins; then we watched as Studge, Shaquiri and Hendo came on...20 secs on studge scored. Its a proper squad we have, whatever happens i think we will give every comp a decent shot and playing away to the other top 4 teams, well i cannot wait

That's the first game out of the way, a very good start. What impressed me most was the team's control of the game,the tempo, the speed, when to boot it up, when to sit in possession. Alison's flap aside, a near perfect performance. Perhaps too much will be expected of Alison, what with how much he cost, the boy is only human after all.
Keita was up there will MOTM, Milner. Great to see Daniel score. shaquiri made himself very busy.
A good start. Let's not get carried away.
