You are very welcome and I'm pleased Yman is doing well for you. He seemed a decent man who tried his best on the wing, now he is doing better in the middle. It always makes sense to play people in their proper positions.
What has happened to another of our exes, mad Frankie Fielding? When he joined us from Blackburn he was very good, but after extensive coaching from our goalkeeping coach Martin Taylor he went off a bit and made some very silly mistakes.
Looking forward to playing you.
Frankie was our No’ 1 until getting injured during pre-season.
We had to sign Maenpaa from Brighton and he is now in goal for us. Whether Frankie will regain his place as no’1 choice will remain to be seen as Maenpaa is doing ok so far.
Frankie is a good shot-stopper and has saved a fair few penalties too, but our fans criticise his distribution - he often inexplicably kicks the ball into touch which is very frustrating.
Please for the lad to be doing well at Bristol City. Just not good enough at Derby. Right move for all parties.
Yman had a good spell last season but was expected to provide crosses which he isn't good at. We had Vydra down the middle so difficult to make a case for Yman playing there. Plenty of pace and stamina though. Glad he is doing well but hope he has a stinker against us.
yman is a good lad but a small fish in a big pond here.
Weimann possibly getting a bagful this season will only be a problem if he gets one or more against us.
History would not appear kind to the suffering Derby fans when ex-strikers play against us, but I guess we only remember the ones that actually did score and conveniently forget the ones that didn't?
The one that sticks in my mind is Ashley Ward. Barnsley couldn't buy a win that season and were relegated, but they beat us 0-1 at PP thanks to him.

Sorry Griff, you are of course correct.
I should have known as I remember Graham Richards commentating when he scored!
Both games were 1-0 to the home side, Eranio scored a penno at PP.
The worst case of an ex player scoring against us was Mart Poom for Sunderland. Bleedin' goal keeper in the last minute. Roy of the Rovers couldn't make that one up.

Er - top scorer in the league is a small fish?
What’s the ‘big sea’ you refer to? The Championship, or Derby County Football Club?
Ok early days but barring injury his run looks set to continue.
Pleased Wiemann is doing well for you. He is very quick and his work rate is excellent and seems to be an all round decent guy.
Truth is though his passing, shooting and decision making were not up to the same level, at least not with us anyway. It was a good deal for all involved.
I didnt expect to get the fee that we did for him if any at all tbh and thought he may get loaned out for the final year of his contract so that was a bonus. With the size of of our squad he was never going to get any game time this season for us.
If he carries on the way he is then its also a baragin in the eyes of bristol city so everyones a winner.
It's like thisbcfcredandwhite (U5014), when Yman was heading towards the goal with the ball at his feet you just knew he wouldn't score. When Vydra was doing that you just knew he would score, you should have bought him.
It must be infuriating for you that your proposed wind up has failed, we all liked Yman and hope he does well for you.

Interesting comment - yes my post was intended to provoke a reaction (which it did) but not to start a war!
Some of the comments about being a ‘great signing for Bristol City but not good enough for Derby’ could be interpreted as an indication of Derby fans’ aloofness over our ‘little ole club’.
I don’t think we are much smaller than you lot any more.
Hardly call it a 'war'. You came here to provoke and were served a dose of truth.
It's kinda like DJ Campbell, he played at several clubs found his home at little ol' Blackpool where he was banging 'em in. All 23 of them over two seasons.
Weimann has found his level with Bristol City where he'll probably considered one of the senior players and one of your better players. At Derby, he was regarded as a squad player, playing in the wrong position.
Your comment regarding Fielding kicking it out if touch made me laugh.

Oh dear
Weimann is a great player. He can catch rabbits for fun he is so quick. I put it down one of a few mistakes by Gary Rowatt. Good luck at Britol against all teams except Derby.
