I also believe that those are the priorities. We could wait till next summer for a centre back. Gary Cahill would be cheap in January if things are bad enough (assuming he would come here). Would also like to see Junior Hoilett at some stage

Agree with most of the above apart from Skrtel. I've always had a problem with him as a defender, particularly set pieces. Just not good enough, IMO.

I disagree with what you say about Lucas.

It seems that unless this lad is flawless at every aspect of the game every game some will never give him the credit he deserves. He didnt have a good game yesterday, he wasnt alone and that was cxertainly the exception rather than the rule these days.

I agree with most else.

I think Henderson will come good. He seems to have the ability just not the experience to apply it correctly all the time.

Adam - I'm yet to be convinced.

All in all it was a poor performance but I'm not going to write off any of the new players after 4 games.

Biggest problem we've got, is the fact that to attract top class players we need to playing in the Champions League.
God only knows as to why Suarez chose us !

Therefore we can only pray that this team is good enough for a top 4 place this year and then hopefully bring in some serious talent for the following season.

We still need a CB, CM, RW and CF of top quality.

Hopefully we get there and have the opportunity to purchase the following -

CB - Gary Cahill or Vermaelen (if Arsenal don't get top 4).
CM - Javi Martinez.
RW - Marko Marin.
CF - Mario Gomez.

don't panic boys we still have a good side. remember we had all 3 of our right backs injured yesterday so we had to play skrtel who is average at best against bale. that was never going to end well. our central midfield was outclassed yesterday but we have gerrard to come back. i do think however we have made an error letting aquilani go. he is a quality player which is what adam and henderson are not. lucas is decent but not world class. gerrard is world class.

spurs had basically there best team on the pitch yesterday. we had a considerably weaker one.

we do need another centre back WITH PACE and a holding midfielder WITH PACE. but i think we are pretty set apart from that.

i say with pace becuase i think we are a bit slow all over the pitch apart from downing and suarez hence why they look so good in our team.

by the way i think we missed a trick not signing shaun wright phillips.
