Saiz is due a goal or two
2-0 Saiz, Harrison
Preston have proved they are a good championship side, certainly better than us over the last 3 years.
2017/18 7th with 73 points
2016/17 11th with 62 points
2015/16 11th with 62 points
Bielsa has stated he thinks they are in a false position.
Two home games are hopeful of getting 6 points from but we know as much about our own quality as we do theirs after only 7 games. Fulham were where Preston/Birmingham were after 7 games last season.
3 convincing points please, LIW needs some reassuring.

2-1 narrow win. Think we'll be in front but let them back in the game. Really need a good performance to go with the result. 2-1, Dallas and Roberts.
I'd start Dallas ahead of Alioski, would be my only change although perhaps resting Klich for Saturday might be a good idea.
Evening All
Agree Preston are a better side than their position would suggest, but I think the Lads will be out to prevent a 2nd embarrassment at home to the same side, Sticking with my 2-0

2-0 Saiz, Harrison

I was just thinking that, but I think Preston will score too. It's going to be a good, open game, 3-2 to us, and I would add Roberts to the scorers.
just because preston did us a big favor and knocked us out of the cup is no reason to go easy on them.
3-0 lets establish the best defense in the league.
harrisson, saiz and klich to score. or maybe dallas.
Leeds were poor in the cup against Preston but got very lucky with a questionable penalty inside 60 seconds of the kick off. Allowed them to defend and time waste for 90 minutes.
Will be a different game, perhaps more open.
Sorry but Roberts to suddenly become a scoring machine, do not see it myself, he has made 45 appearance since 2016, one for West Brom and the rest apart from Saturday were for League One teams, hasn't scored in a competitive game above League One.
More likely to injure himself than score.
Another outfit that will come and park the bus, time waste, kill momentum and try to silence the home support. Nothing we haven’t seen before. Sadly, it’s players like Pablo that can produce something to make the difference. I fear we could be in for a frustrating evening, but hope I’m wrong!
I foresee a Douglas free kick to open up proceedings

Do you think Bielsa can make a player out of him, Els? Remember, he's only 19, bit early for writing him off.
I'm expecting 3 points. The only certain thing about this Leeds United is the fact that we'll keep going for 90 minutes.
I'm comfortable with what we have available in the squad and believe Bielsa is savvy enough to know how to deal with Preston more so after the Moose Cup experience.
Roberts to open his account, Harrison to improve further and double his Leeds tally and Klich to click and secure the points.
3-0.
In true Wakey style, I'll also say we might lose or draw too.

He's 19. What sort of record are you expecting him to have at that age?
I just hope Bielsa sticks to his principles, even with a reduced squad: ATTACK! ATTACK! ATTACK! Midfielders and defenders are scoring goals this season too, although I do wish Pablo was back in the mix.
Don't care about the score, or who scores; only about the three points and keeping a clean sheet if poss.
Not too much to ask for, then...
High see my post elsewhere, LUTV streaming live but do expect to get ripped off.
Evening fellow leeds fans so we play my home town football team, will we get revenge for our cup game defeat against them?.
A few PNE fans at work are expecting a comfortable win for Leeds so lets hope so.
Come On Leeds onwards and upwards MOT
If we want promotion we have to win this.
If we can’t beat Preston at home forget it
I’m going 2-0 Leeds
Expect Siaz to run this game
No disrespect to PNE & BC but if we cannot win both games at home even with a slightly depleted line up then we will be hard pushed to get into the play offs. Need to be wining these games handsomely & keep the points racking up for the confidence of the squad

I am thinking it will be the same team tonight as millwall but I'd put Dallas on for Alioski.

Tbf to have 45 senior appearances by 19 is pretty good, no? And how do you expect him to score at a level higher than he has played? So far he is on a 1 game barren run at this level. That's not so bad.
Peacock-Farrell, Ayling, Douglas, Cooper, Jansson, Phillips, Klich, Alioski, Saiz, Harrison, Roberts
Unchanged (I think).

Thanks, yes appears unchanged.
Dallas may have deserved a start ahead of Alioski, expect to see him early in the second half unless we are winning convincingly by then, maybe see him anyway then to rest Alioski.
