Regardless of who votes etc etc not in a million yrs should Hazard have been ahead of salah for this yr
Don’t think Mbappe is deserving either. If you get in by having a few very good games in winning the World Cup while not pulling up any trees for your club then Pogba should be in with a shout.
The entire evening has been a debacle
This is why these awards get a bit tiresome, exactly the team we all expected to see, no surprises.
Hazard got more votes than Salah by international captains. Incredible really.
I’m a huge Hazard fan but Salah had 10 times the season Eden did.

Hazard benefits from people mistakenly thinking he’s an actual midfielder, when he’s really a forward.
So Salah got compared to Messi, Ronaldo & Mbappe, and imo rightfully missed out because those 3 were better.
Whereas Hazard got compared to midfielders like KDB & Pogba (and wrongly got the nod, because those 2 were better).
De Gea in team of the year but Courtois gets goalkeeper of the year? WTF? 🤨
