FIFPRO WORLD XI

I see people have said the obvious ones but how did Varane, Ramos and Marcelo all get in? Not disputing their quality but Madrid conceded 44 goals in the league last year.

You can't tell me 3 of their back 4 had world class seasons in a year they conceded 44 goals

Stupid team, i feel like this is the reason they gave salah the puskas award, all the other goals seemed better (and salah scored way better goals than the one they selected)

Kane was better than Mbappe last season. Not even a debate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

How can he be, Kane is not a foreign enough name to be in a world XI. Mbappe sounds so much better. I think that is how they select teams like this.

Kane got the golden boot by being in a very easy group and easy ride to the semi's. Just like England he could cope with that but as soon as they came across a decent side it was game over for both Kane and England. This does not make him or England amongst the best in the world. Many teams that went out before us were better than us ie Spain and had we swapped places/groups I suspect we'd be out before they were.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

All heresay. You can only beat what is in front of you. Spain were hardly in a difficult group themselves.

Kane doesn't deserve to be in the team. Messi, Salah and Ronaldo were all better

Kante is another inclusion you could dispute imo. Very good player but didn’t have an amazing 17/18 season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Still no answer on why u think this mate?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Didn’t have a great season, had a good World Cup but there’s midfielders who had a better 2018 imo.

Schmeichel getting nominated for GK of the year on the back of a penalty save is another farce.

Varane has been the best defender in the world this yr

Varanne is top of the tree atm defender wise. Won the WC too. Its pretty much a La Liga 11

Was his best season for chelsea, and imo his best season in england. Added a passing range and was our only midfielder last year playing alongside bakayoko.

No idea how Hazard gets in there on last seasons performances.

Columbia are a one man team and he was out injured. England had the worst team in the world cup Panama goal difference of minus 9. Well done Harry a hatrick against them. One he didn't even know about but like most people from Tottenham will put in a claim for anything

Was fantastic last year, his second or third best year for chelsea imo. Tbf him kante and azpilicueta are the only reason we don't finish mid table

Did you see the brazil belgium game, where he got motm? played like that through a lot of last year.

no way should he be in there ahead of salah though

Absolute mess of a comment. Why would he need to claim a goal that clearly deflected off him?

Salah should have been in over Messi if we are going on last season.

What? Why?

Messi had a better season in general, better season statistically and won his domestic league...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Actually agree with nick

Messi had a better season, but it was nothing extraordinary for him. Salah had an amazing season in comparison to previous years.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Messi destroyed La Liga last season; goals, assists, chances created, dribbles, the lot. Yet people want to disregard his league season yet use other players such as Salah’s league season as reason why he should be nominated. Ludicrous to say Salah should be in ahead of Messi.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cos he didn't know what the hell was going on with the ball. It hit him and went in. Had it been a defender it deflected off the goal would've been given to loftus Cheek. Claiming that goal was as laughable as the one he claimed for Spurs at the back end of last season.
I think that's a reasoned argument. Maybe you're slow and don't get it but calling my comment a mess is unfounded.
