Do we have to have the all too familiar managerial slow death with the ensuing damage to the club ?

He's finished get facking rid

After the game Jose said he knew once it got down to Jones and Bailly in the shootout he knew it was over

Seriously what other manager says that. Yes he might think it but you don't come out on live Tv and basically say that these two are sheet penalty takers

By the way the signs were there when he imploded at Chelsea

We basically hired a washed out manager that plays shizit football

Why did he win the league upon his return then?

I just couldn’t believe how much better Derby were. I know it was basically your second string but Derby went to old Trafford and out pressed, out fought, and out played united, even with 11 men on the pitch.

I thought derby were excellent to watch, great pressing and when United pressed derby they just played a few one touch triangles and were in behind your midfield.

It’s kinda how you’d expect united to play tbh.

You guys also have a post Ferguson hangover that was going to be inevitable in the same way as it was to Liverpool when Bob Paisley retired. The last thing the club needs is a manger who’s going at the job like a bull in a china shop. Good from the oppositions point of view though.

I can't put that better. Ferguson chose a fellow Scot to take over, pure and simple and nothing do with ability. Buying Pogba back was a big mistake and I even said it on here at the time "NEVER BUY BACK." It's tough enough getting to the top but staying there's tougher and you will NEVER replicate the achievements of the best manager in world history.

Jose must go and the only replacement I can see is Zidane.

I don't think people expect levels of success Fergie maintained for 20+ years.

But if we are the play the type of football we are playing, with the money spent, it needs it be winning football.

I think the whole Utd fan ass is in agreement that Jose isn't the right man for the club. I'm stuck as to how to suggest next though.

Last night hasn't changed a lot for me. He was already on the chopping block. I don't think anyone at the club is honestly expecting him to still be here on 1st day of season. The long goodbye started on transfer deadline day.

Someone's got to bite the bullet and get rid of Mourinho right now, there's simply no point in prolonging the inevitable.

It's only September but a loss at weekend which is quite probable then the title is pretty much gone or at least extremely unlikely for another year.

A new manager needs to be starting work on the squad earlier than next summer, there's way too much work to do.

True. Looks to me like they have finally worked out that quick decisions and panic buys aren't the way forwards. If I was a United fan I'd be hoping to see a bit of long termism rather than a quick sacking and another so called 'proven' appointment.

Zidane seems the obvious choice. But too obvious? Not sure who we can get at this stage of the season if he goes and ive given more than enough chances but hes broken. We do need a fix, and fast though.

If you get rid of him now. Who would you have replace him? Would you go down the interim manager route until the summer, then appoint a manager? Or is there anyone available now who’d be a good fit?

Your ‘performance’ last night was exactly what Pogba was referring to with his comments the other day. Internationals up against journeymen and kids sent out on loan yet it was hard to tell who was who because you don’t take the initiative and seek to dominate the game.

At the same time, players should be more aware of the tactics and style of play before they join a club. Mourinho has been playing that dog shiiit football for years so it shouldn’t have been a shock to Pogba and Raiola.

It's a good time for a young exciting coach to come in. No Utd fan I know is expecting a title win in 1st or even second year.

In fact if Jose's football was enjoyable he'd not even be under threat as manager.

Klopp entered the Liverpool job in the first week of October. He was almost given a free ride for first season as it wasn't his squad.

Why can't we do the same? Let's say Zidane for example fancies the role and is happy to come sooner rather than later. Why wait? No expectations should be put on any new manager if he goes mid season. Wouldn't be fair at all.

I think Luis Enrique would be a handy choice. I like the way he gets teams playing so i think united fans would be happy with how they play post Jose.

He's just took the Spanish national team job. Doubt he's even available tbh.

We're more than likely going to get a new manager in the summer. If Jose goes I can see Carrick possibly getting it till the summer on a interim basis. Something like that.

Our football is absolutely dire. We actually get outplayed by pretty much everyone at OT nowadays. In fact the only game we didn't get outplayed we got beat 3-0. There is a virus running through the club and IMO it originates from Jose. Everything he has said, done and the performances and results surely means he has to get the sack. I think any other club would have done that by now. Quite why we are still holding on us beyond me. Everyone knows he won't change, we've had 3 yrs of his Sheite now and 3 yrs of Sheite before. I just want to see a manager with an attacking philosophy and it needs to happen soon before it's too late for some of our better players such as Pogba and Martial.
And secondly get fecking rid of matic and Lukaku

Surely Jose is actively trying to get the sack? The way he's dissing players in public, dissing the fans etc. can only result in one thing can't it?

Utd should never have given him the job. I'm glad they did - although I didn't expect things to go this wrong this quickly.

I can't be bothered to find out, but I wonder how much money Jose has been paid by clubs to leave their employment.
What a great way to make money - be dreadful at your job, criticise your customers and staff until they can't take anymore and have to pay you millions to go away!!
