FFS, we basically had the spine of our team missing last night, any side would be hampered by that.
What would you do with all these new expensive signings when the likes of Dele, Eriksen & Vertonghen are all fit? (Which they more often than not are).
You are suggesting that last nights loss was down to not signing anybody, which is total nonsense in my opinion. Chances are, anybody we would've signed wouldn't have made much of a difference to the scoreline last night.
Have you had a hit on the head this summer diamondlights? You are becoming a lot more caricature/hysterical in your contributions this season.
Bizarre to see the stands empty with more than 10 minutes left to play.
I can understand if the team is not playing well and losing.
But your team played very well and should be applauded for that.
While I take your point that we lack in some key areas I am interested to know who you suggest we could have bought this summer who would have prevented us being outclassed by Barca, with their team of world class players including arguably the greatest player to have ever kicked a ball.
We had 4 key players missing who would instantly have improved us drastically.
Poor article, you are much better than this

yeah strange to say that mancini. Usually you get the people who go early to beat the rush but when i left just before injury time the stands were as good as still full.
When they scored the fourth though I thought there was a fire-drill

probably a new Manager, Poch is very Nieve, high press against Barca !!
Aurier, Rose, Verts, Dier, Dembele, Eriksen, Dele
all start for me in our strongest XI. All missing last night. Thats 7 missing against arguably the best side in the world right now.

The only needed one critical signing in my opinion and that was a Dembele replacement. We will have to buy one in January for what ever it will cost.
Poch is a very niamh manager i agree

That's what I said....

Indeed you did say that
haha.... Just tired & grouchy for flying over for the game (though Messi was worth it) Just annoys me that the Club says there was nobody out there that could have improved the squad and that the Stadium has no bearing on the playing staff yet we have to bring on Sissoko in such a big game that somehow we had the chance grabbing something from (would have been a travesty) but for 20 mins in the second half we had them under pressure.
I honestly believe that Levy overvalued the dross that we could have probably sold, underbid for players we could have got that would have helped.... For Example Kovacic publicly said he wanted to Leave Madrid over the summer, Only moved as result of the Courtois deal at the end of the window. We have CL Footy (chelsea dont). Could we really not have got Sissoko, Llorente, Janssen sold and put a proper bid in for him... for once having a net spend ?????? I honestly think it would have helped/ Made a difference as well as making a few others feel as though their places were under threat despite the last few seasons ??? We are simply a club standing still and basking in the glow of a shiny new stadium
I know 5 injuries is huge BUT a couple of decent summer signings would have helped to offset that.... Meaning we would not have started Winks (looked starstruck in the first half & Wanyama (who's basically a thug/ red card waiting happen
Oh well, Off to Heathrow.....; Later
