Top 6 Season 2021/22 Mini Table

I think you mean the gap between the top three and the rest of the top 6.

Spurs are now 6 points behind Liverpool which is the biggest gap between the two all season. At the start of December, Spurs were 3 points behind Liverpool.

For me it's the top three and then a gap to the rest of the top 6.

It's a one horse race now. The stupidest of money would be on City. They're 7 points behind a team who have only dropped 6 points all season. Even the most basic of maths will tell you City are in huge trouble

Didn't City make up an 8 point gap in March on United?

In facking March. Its far from over.

Personally, I'll believe it when its mathematically won.

United had dropped more than 6 points up to that point. It's not a competitive league, right now. City got 100 points last year and will need at least that to win it this year. The third placed team will get close to the 95 points that was a points record this time last year.

So no, not comparable in terms of potential for dropped points to 2012. Though of course it's not over til it's over

Liverpool will drop points soon as will spurs, we have had seasons when level with city on points ahead on goal difference and won the league by 13 points weve alson been ahead of city/utd by the same margin 12/13 points at Christmas only to be caught quite esily after Christmas/newyear. with 3 points per game gaps can change quickly. Spurs always bottle it even though their young side is one of the oldest in the top 6. Liverpool always slip up two city utd and Chelsea are experienced in winning titles and kan hold out although squad size will come into play soon then spurs will be under the cosh, I think Chelsea will go all out to win the Europa league unless we have gained ground on the others. i remember thinking not long ago that city would run away with it again but even with de bryne back they are in bad form for them and one more bad result will see Chesea almost level with them. Leicester have shown there are NO easy games in this league.

100 points won it last year. Three teams are on 45 plus points at the half way mark for the first time in 31 years. Sorry, but this is not a case of "they'll inevitably drop points" as they won't inevitably drop points. It's a really really poor league. If you doubt that, watch how easily Liverpool dismiss Arsenal on the 29th. They'll probably lose at Eastlands as City won't have anything to bottle in that game

Hell even your lot got 93 points (at the time the second highest in top flight history) 2 years ago. And I wouldn't have called that a great Chelsea team

Chelsea are washed up, when Hazard leaves in Jan, The rest will follow. RA is bored and wants out + his money back which pretty much alludes to the fact their finished.

Hazard leaving will trigger the fall, although I don’t think they ever got over JT and fat Frank leaving in quick succession

Nope it was in April 2012 with 6 games to go. Arsenal beat Man City 1-0 thanks to a late 30 yard strike by Mikel Arteta to clinch victory for the Gunners. This left Man City 8 points off the top and surely ended there title hopes but the unexpected happened.

So even in April it still won't be over if the gap stays the same.

But the most basic of maths told you City were odds on to win the league a month ago.
