Diego Costa has done well since leaving us hasn't he.

3 goals in 23 since Jan. 0 in 7 this year.

We're hopeless without Diego up front, it wasn't just his goals, he was a leader on the pitch

Personally I think his goals were his redeeming quality, his all round ability for me(like lukaku for example)was always lacking. In my opinion at least.

We missed Costa a lot last season but this season we've moved on, different style, different manager etc. We're still obviously lacking a competent striker who can score regularly. Shame we didn't land Dzeko last Jan, he'd have done nicely for this season.

Costa was quality, far better than Lukaku. Excellent hold up play, bullied defenders, great in the air and with both feet.

I watched him against Ramos and Varane supposedly the best 2 CBs, he bullied the pair of them in the super cup

I can accept people like costa more than me, but things like " Excellent hold up play" I just can't stand for.

The groans every week at the bridge whenever he lost the ball or didn't bother were, at times, deafening. That has stuck with me.

Great finisher, absolute nuisance, but poor hold up play, poor dribbler, and had a lot of weaknesses.

Infact it was his tenacity that made up for those things, but when he wasn't "on it", he was a waste of space.

If we had Costa this season, I wouldn't have been surprised if we were to win the league - we need a 20 goal striker which he was.

I think he was injured mostly last year anyway, but yeah dzeko would have been class, a finisher with an all round game. Tore us apart twice aswell!

TJ, he's gone now regardless. Had his pros and cons but not worth talking about in detail. We're stuck with morata and giroud

Unfortunately, we'll have to make do this season. Hope both can score 10 each in the league but that's probably asking for too much.

Just read the sky sports pundits on what 'Chelsea need to challenge' - all said a striker who can score 20 goals and possibly a defender

Just feel we're overly reliant on Hazard and we can't expect him to produce magic every game, need someone to take the pressure off.

Yup it's a shame we don't have that 20 goal striker as it's probably the difference between us being genuine title challengers to merely top four challengers as we are now.

Hopefully now pedro is back he can chip in too, willian has been a disaster so far this season.

But pedro, giroud, morata. 10 each in the league would be nice.

I'm hoping giroud can get of the mark soon and then go on a run, he is certainly capable, 15 goals would be good.

Then hazard 20, giroud 15, pedro, 10.

Plus I know we keep saying it but Surely, SURELY, morata won't keep missing 1 on 1s and easy chances?

We've been a bit hit and miss this year. If we can get some consistency going, there is every chance - probably see us as getting stronger as the season goes along - might be a push to get automatic, but every hope of being in the play-offs and hopefully win this time

I'd love to come back to all the Premier League grounds that I've not visited for so loooooooong

Yeah Giroud is definitely capable of 15 league goals if he plays the majority of games. Don't see him getting as many as 10 though if he's chopping and changing with Morata.

Willian is totally off it this season which puts a bigger emphasis on Pedro - a player who should probably only be playing a bit part now. Far from ideal but we'll have to make do.

I'm a big pedro fan so more than happy for him to be involved. But we certainly need a replacement soon.

Will be interesting to see barkley now too, had a fair few "good" games now needs to take it up a notch and carry on with the goals/assists.

Got a goal and assist last game, an assist for england. Let's hope he keeps it up.

Thanks Nick - that's true. I've done the original 92 so still got the new grounds to visit and re-visit the ones that have been redeveloped. Hope to see you soon

Barkley is so bad

Yeah I agree that Barkley can definitely add goals to his game. He scored 12 goals in the 15/16 season for Everton. 8 of them in the PL so there's no reason he can't replicate that for us. Assuming he gets sufficient game time.
