Has anyone got any tips on how to rob a train successfully?

Get a train from somewhere else to Rhodes (i think), as there is a bridge near by. Once you get off at Rhodes, quickly run off the train, then climb the ladder of the (god knows what it is, like a tower) and then jump onto the train. Wait for it to get to the bridge while you run to the front, and hold up the train driver. The train will be stopped on the bridge, leaving you free to go through the train and rob everyone on it.

Thought there would be someone on the train somewhere that puts up a fight, hardly anyone I threaten pays up without starting a shootout.

Thanks guys, I didn’t even know you can ride trains around on the game. Feel sorry putting my horse through the pace every time I go the other side of the map to start a mission.

Haven't got to the trapper yet, Im still on chapter two, although I've upgraded most of the tent now. Virtually all the valuables I've found, I've just donated to the camp.

Slightly irritated I only found out last night you could take multiple pelts as well as a carcass at the same time, been doing a lot of wasted trips back to camp whilst hunting!

Yeah you can buy tickets from the post office/stations where you pay your bounty etc.

Or get a carriage ride from one of the towns.

I’m flush at the moment got 70000 dollars, been blinging all my guns up.

Bought all the manuals too so got incendiary shot gun slugs poison knives homing hatchets haha topped up at the mo.

i was going to do the glitch too but thought it would ruin it, i've still got over a grand after upgrading everything anyway, so doesn't seem to be an issue.

Yep, won't be doing the glitch. Its too good a game to ruin like that in my personal opinion.

One day I'll play through and be an absolute caaaant, making the dishonourable decision every time, and I'll probably try and get a load of money that time (although they'll probably fix the glitch by then, if they haven't already).

Watched a vid where this guy got the suffragette woman and fed her to an alligator 🐊😂

Bloody hell

My Mrs got the hump just because I killed a guy that tried to shoot me (all I'd done was wander near his camp for too long).

She said I should've just run off and left him

I could've killed him quickly I guess but chose to tie him up and leave him on the train track.

Getting the train can be risky! The first one I got I was sat there admiring the view, wondering where my horse was. As the train pulled into the station I got a nice aerial view of it and there was my horse stood at the side of the track waiting for me. Next thing he wonders onto the track and train mows him down. Dead. I'd had him for ages and we had a strong bond.

Anyone seen the video of the moose attack? Some guy had been tracking the rarest horse for a hour and a half in the mountains in the snow. He had got the horse cornered and was just calming it down. Next thing this moose just flies in from the right and headbutts him to death. Pad breaker.

I spent a few hours doing chores round the house yesterday at the request of the wife (fitting venetian blinds, assembling flat pack furniture). Moaned constantly whilst doing them that I didn't want to waste my weekend doing chores.

When I'd finished I got back on RDR and ended up doing chores around the camp. Didn't moan once.

It's like the Simpsons where Marge is nagging the kids to do the garden for their allowance money but they're just lounging on the sofa. Go to a video game convention next and Bart says he want's go to on the yard work simulator

I managed to get my perfect squirrel pelt to go with my perfect dear pelt so that Parsons could make me a new satchel. When I got to him the dear pelt, which had taken me 2 hours to get, had disappeared. I am nor sure where it has gone, as I definitely didn't sell it. I am wondering if it I didn't save the game after I had collected the pelt? Fecking annoying.

Elvis I got a deer pelt over the weekend, whacked it on the back of the horse and then it somehow became part of the facking horse, no option to remove it and there's every chance it'll still be there when I next go on

Stumbled across the legendary wolf at the geysers easy pickings and I have my amulet thing for better pelts.

I was at the geysers for ages, never heard or saw anything. Followed and focussed on some 'tracks' of an 'unknown animal' and it lead to a fckin rabbit the sneaky little bast. Was about 10 minutes tracking a rabbit ffs. Blew it to smithereens with the shotgun just for wasting my time.
