They backed their player as their wasn't a fair trial. Evra lied and if that was a fair court case it would of been thrown out. The decision was made in a hotel room by someone with very close ties to Man Utd.

A fair trial would have seen the case thrown out. Just because its a serious charge doesn't mean the accused doesn't deserve a defence. Everybody accused of anything deserves a defence, beginning with Ched Evans.

The FA and media would like it to be this season to tie in with the 30th anniversary of Hillsborough.
City will probably put the kybosh on that, so they will be allowed to win it next season, to make it a nice round 30 years since their last win.

Wolves, WBA, Southampton, Leicester etc... teams that Liverpool should be beating, yet all have knocked them out of cups in recent years. If they'd beat those teams like they should, maybe there'd be a bit more silverware in the trophy cabinet.
