You are welcome Heb. I try to make it special for the far flung ones. have a great evening.

That was some free from Hourihane, a player I wish we had to have bought when he was with Barnsley.

Agree Igor, but Sam Rush purchased Bradley Johnson and Jacob Butterfield instead. Still frustrates me how stupid a decision that was and wasn't vetoed by the board.
Problem was Desi that both were the player of the year with their respective clubs at the time so hindsight is a great thing but I have followed Conor for a long time and thought he was a perfect fit for us.
Having said that I thought the other Conor would also make the grade with us and to a degree for some, cough, cough, Heb, he did.
But Hourihane does have that touch of class and dare I say it would not look out of place in the PL.
I am proud to maintain particularly low standards

I thought that other factors part from player ability and suitability (like back handers) were involved.
Good report Mr Ramdini. At half time it felt like an even game that would be won by the first team to take a chance but we were slaughtered after the break. Villa’s energy was very impressive throughout. Pressing us high is a gamble and if we are on our game we are good enough to use this to our advantage, but yesterday we weren’t and a few players lost confidence and hid when we needed them to seize the day. Wilson and Holmes were anonymous second half and Lawrence and Josefzoon awful, especially Lawrence as a more experienced player who we needed to take a lead. I don’t know if his missed sitter affected him but if so it just makes it worse, he should have used it as motivation to make amends.
Mount’s confidence and technical ability was sorely missed. Wilson has done well in midfield but while he and Holmes could skate past the blue statues last week, Villa’s midfield were far too good. I think Lampard might need horses for courses in those positions, Bryson or Evans for some games at least. We lacked nous yesterday but a few of these kids are still learning their trade.
I would exempt Marriott, Tomori and Keogh from criticism yesterday who I thought all played well. I agree about Bogle who is a terrific prospect but still learning the bread and butter of defensive duties. I would be very tempted to move Tomori across, at least temporarily, to give Bogle a wee breather from which he will come back stronger. That would allow Curtis to come back and we could do with an extra leader. As will the whole team. Nil desperandum.
Nice to see you are coming over to my way of thinking regarding Lawrence. I agree totally with you about needing him to step up his game to help the youngsters, but he is anonymous against the better teams and if he'd taken his chance I think we would have gone on to win. Villa have had a rough time recently and it would have knocked their confidence.
I was surprised Frank put Jozefzoom on, he is one of the worst players I've ever seen and seems a waste of money. I would rather have seen Johnson instead, although my remarks about cost could also apply to him.
What a good winger Bolaise is, he changed the game along with the departure of Bennett. Did the Villa keeper touch the ball in the 2nd half?
I'm not too disheartened as I think Frank will get better players in the team and what a pity Mount had to play against Chelsea, very silly move.
Thanks for an excellent report Ramdini, I always look forward to it. I watched the England v New Zealand game without knowing the score when I got back, we wuz robbed by the cheating TV ref. The Underhill try was a beauty.
Much wisdom in your remarks VC 10. I can't disagree with anything you said. I didn't see the alleged Nyland touch. But the ref always gave any doubt benefit to Villa. There was the occasion when a violent tackle went in on (I think) Wilson and the ball broke free to Marriott with some support in their penalty area. He should have played advantage but - no way -
I cannot understand why the try was disallowed? What was supposed to have been wrong with it? Who was the TV ref?
I don't know who the TV ref was but if that was offside most of the whole game is. Usually the scrum half is tackled as soon as he gets the ball, Lawes waited before his move.
I thought the ref was OK yesterday, we went down and stayed down too easily and too long. They were just to strong for us 2nd half and were a much better team than Brum. I've always liked Bolaise since I saw him playing on the wing for Palace with Zaha on the other side, I thought he was better than Zaha and he is very quick. I wish we'd got him and Abraham played well although he missed a few.
My first thought when I saw Lawrence sky his chance was what a pity it wasn't Marriott's chance?
Never mind, nobody died.
UTR.
Villa have been underachieving this season, they have a strong squad and this result and probably many after was always going to come.
Crazy division this season, no stand out performers, everyone beating everyone and only 9 points between top and 12th.
Many weird results recently. Leeds 4 Derby 1. West Brom 4 Leeds 1. West Brom 1 Derby 4. What is going on?
Decent assessment Ramdini.
Don't know what it is about Derby when they have a chance to capitalise on a good League position. We often mess it up.
A very expectant Derby crowd went home disappointed on Saturday. We miss Mount for sure.
Again, we seem to be having some bad luck with injuries to key player's who are in decent form.
I don't think it was the Aston Villa show that is all over the media - I didn't think they were anything special at all.
We continue to tollerate the one in five good matches that Tom Lawrence has. He was a big let down again on Saturday. He must (and can) do better.

Vydra would have slotted it in and Johnny Russell and even my old pal Tomasss would have popped it in. Very poor and costly miss. I wonder what Frank thought?
Vydra missed a few early in his Derby career, ask Spart who used to go on and on about it. I'm sure Frank thought he should have scored. All players miss occasionally when they shouldn't but I was more concerned about his overall play in the second half which was dreadful. I thought he had played well in the previous three or four games but he needs to at least put in a decent shift when he is having an off day and he did not do that on Saturday. I wonder if Frank might be thinking that if someone came in with a bid of a few million he might let him go in January.
Could we do someone a deal Vidal: take Butterfield and have Lawrence at half-price?
Everyone Misses chances ffs.
I’m more concerned about TL giving the ball away cheaply for their 2nd goal and not covering back. Look at Wilson when he gave the ball away he gave everything to try and win it back.
Biggest concern for me is the reliance on the 3 loan players. What happens next summer when these 3 leave? Can’t decelop the team ling term with loan players
This's what worries me Griff, when the loans go back we will look a bit threadbare.
I like players who give everything for the team, Bucko is a good example. I dislike players who think they are better than they are and Lawrence and Ince are examples of that. Lawrence gives the ball away far too often and he did the same last year.
Butterfield, Anya and Lawrence for £7 million, I would bite their hands off. Come on Garry.

VC 10 Your middle paragraph is spot on too. Think of Lingard and that Berk from Forest who went to 'Boro after us. Refuse to remember his name. and then think of Jake. Genuine salt of the earth.
And as for the loanees. I cling to the hope that we will get promoted and they will prefer to stay with Derby rather than sit on the Chelsea and Liverpool bench.
