I asked my family which restaurant they wanted to go to. They said the Italian one because online it said they had amazing pizza and lasagna which the kids loved, and it looked really good. We got there and the waiter said there was no pizza or lasagna but he could do us some porridge. Neither the kids or myself thought like this would be a great option but we chose that restaurant because of lasagna and pizza so we had to stick with it. This porridge is rubbish and it's cold.

Cool story. Bit pointless but I’m sure it means something to you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Assuming you want to leave, given the disaster that has unfolded, why do you think the UKG should pursue this blatantly senseless withdrawal agreement?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I want to leave as that was the democratic result of the referendum.

Astonishing to see people thinking total self governance is a pipe dream.
You've been hoodwinked into thinking the EU is UKs saviour.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Should the UK therefore leave all multinational bodies that share/pool resources. The UN for example, NATO, the WHO, WCO, WTO etc etc?
Do you know if a nation on the planet that is completely self-governing?

I hope after all this nonsense is over that Brexit becomes known as the "B word" and the mere mention of it results in a criminal record.
It always makes me think of Weetabix too which is annoying.

It will certainly offend those who are easily offended and that can’t be tolerated.

Okay, so I’ll try another analogy. You decide to move house. Your estate agent advises they have sourced a better property than you have now. You will also save you money both in purchase price, and maintenance costs. However before you can see your new home your estate agent advised you have to commit to buying it come what may.
Believing your estate agent you sign on the dotted line. They then let slip they weren’t able to complete a survey as the condition is a lot worse than advertised. In fact when you see it you realise it’s an absolute wreck. The buildings structural integrity is at risk, and It will actually cost you more in the long run, and you can’t afford repair costs.
But you’ve made the decision to buy it, and with the British bulldog spirit you’ll make the best of it. Despite knowing it will make you considerably worse off.
But I suppose you’d proceed with the property purchase anyway because that’s what you chose to do?
By the way if you think the referendum was democratic you haven't been paying attention.
Millions (on all sides) based their choice on fantasy. As reality has now demonstrated what folk voted for isn't on the table. In truth it never was, and the UKG hamstrung themselves (yet again) in the Dec17 phase one agreement.

Most people (including MPs) didn't have the foggiest idea what that entailed. Nor did they have any concept of the trade offs the UKG would have to concede just to get a WA.
As these threads demonstrate, many people (years after the ref) still harbour misconceptions and untruths regarding the UK's relationship with the EU and wider global trade policy.
I really don't see the problem. Lasagna and Pizza are bad for you anyway, porridge provides a great healthy, nutricious meal.

How about if you picked the colour black over white (unlikely I know hohoho) but then I spent 2 years adding more white to the black until it was more white than black, you'd still stick with this now white colour as that's what you chose in the first place? You chose white?

I'm starting to think this didn't happen at all, no child would choose porridge - it is something foisted upon the young until they develop a grudging acceptance, moving to an appreciation later in life.

The point that is, and which has been clearly made, (and I get that you don’t want to admit it) is why would you choose to pursue a particular course of action when (armed with greater knowledge) you knew it was self-defeating/destructive.
It seems some people do not believe in objective fact, they just believe in Brexit.
