That was never a penalty in the memory of mankind.
It was more of a penalty than the Cov one.
The ref knew well what the defender was playing for
--------------------------------------------------------
Playing to be out for 6 months was he?
Still sore teg, dont worry it will pass.....after christmas.
it's nothing to do with that igor, how can any of you come out with a comment like "The ref knew well what the defender was playing for" when he went straight off the pitch and is out for months. A few of you have commented about our lot being gracious in defeat when some of your lot are struggling to be gracious in victory
Just like what miller was playing for, a penalty, have a look how he jumped in sideways.
Like three of your dogs surounded the ref to get frank sent off, not content with the peno, thought it would be a cruise after, well they were wrong.
Your man injured himself, no derby contact, so don't preach to me about sportmanship, dogs by name and nature.
the boy done himself a serious injury and we shouldnt joke about it wether he's a forest palyer or not, it isnt a laughing matter
fans who joke about players getting injured are idiots who need there heads testing
let's stick to Cohen for a minute igor cos that what I was originally on about. Cohen is out for possibly the rest of the season so how can "The ref knew well what the defender was playing for"?
Cohen's injury occurred from an overzealous challenge on Obrien, no fault of Obrien's so the referee was right to continue play. The only player who was really complaining was Derbyshire who had an awful game. Whatever he's being being paid is a thousand times too much. At the "penalty" and sending off the two players badgering the referee were Greening and Cohen. Greening was pants and substituted so all in all it turned out to be a day of Karma although I hope Cohen makes a speedy recovery.
At the time and without the need to blow for a free, the ref was not to know that it was serious, nor were the derby players who seen the ref wave play on.
If it had been put out of play would cohen's injury be any less serious, I think not, so the ref had no choice but to play on with no infridgement, sorry for the lad, but also sorry for frank fielding that he also missed a great victory.
"The ref knew well what the defender was playing for"?
-----------------------------------
This is the issue I raised igor. What exactly was Cohen playing for then?
Did I make that comment teg, no, have it out with them.
i did do igor and it was YOU that responded
TEG: I don't believe he was playing for it - we were still in our half when he went down, and only someone like Teddy Sheringham has a football brain that forward thinking! The ref seemed to talk to him , then clearly waved play on, so Derby were well within their rights to continue, but I don't wish a serious injury on any player, and I don't believe he himself was looking for the game to be stopped to be honest.
Responded but did not make statement that you keep referring too.
Thats better, went outside to a good strong breeze and pi$$ed against it and yes it is comparable to to a natter with you teg.
Teg. I apologise unreservedly for my suspicious reaction to Cohen's injury. I only saw the internet highlights and did not know he was seriously injured. There seemed to be no contact with anyone and he just simply seemed to sit down. I am very sorry for my remarks and wish Cohen well in his recovery.
I still think the penallty was a wrong call but until refs can see such incidents in slow motion these things will still happen. No doubt Derby have won as many as they have lost. This season however has seen a goal missed by the officials when the ball was well over the goal line. A penalty given to Coventry when Shackel clearly played the ball.
Still we had a good victory against you and it was thoroughly deserved. The game in February will be interesting. I will be there.
Ramdini, mate don't know why your apologising to that 'get' teg, the paladrome, its not him that injured and you only said what you seen, didn't see him make any apology for their shameful behaviour.
igor - perhaps because ramdini is a proper fan and man enough to admit his mistake insted of carrying on with a stupid attitude like you want to
Beat me to it Hobo. Ramdini's not apologises to me personally just showing his common decency
Hobo, I was being accused of saying it, so jog on with your opinion, how does that make him a proper fan, by apologising, grow up young fella and come back when you have hair on it.
Why don't you lick dave's as well teg, decency is not a word familiar to ya, so don't misuse it.
