You've got a great chance, once the Europa League starts again I can only see us dropping more points. We haven't got the players to cope with this 3 games a week stuff and we're a one man team

I still thought it a bit of a pipe dream, but that Chelsea draw has changed things up a bit. We will need probably 3 wins and a draw against the other top five clubs though. Big ask.

Chelsea have some tough fixtures in the league. 4 of the other big 5 to come away from home.

Definitely do-able

Yes but I’m pretty sure our fixture list after CL games is horrendous so we might well drop points too!

Spurs is a big game. If we can get a result after that we have our toughest away days out the way with only arsenal away left in top 5 and that isn’t overly tough tbf.

Chelsea on the other hand have to go to either, arsenal, us and anfield

It is still a big ask because we will have to take a lot of points from the big games and keep beating the smaller teams.

We would have to go on a run like we did the year we beat the dips to the title when they were under Rafa.

Yup, Spurs is a massive game mate. As others have said, I do worry about our defence versus the quality that they have.

Maybe we can ask him for some facts in tonight’s post match conference to help

On some of tonight’s defending Spurs could quite easily rip Utd a new one!

Big ask but not impossible, handy that we have Chelsea at home still to play. I know it sounds cliche but let’s just take it game by game and see how Ole does, the fact he’s come in with little pressure has been a big help imo, no need to start wanting top 4.

We have 7 days in Dubai to work on defending and get everyone's fitness up. Hopefully we can come out of the blocks and get something

Doesn’t mean we will defend like that against spurs. Hopefully Smalling will be back as jones just looks shaky at the moment and young will play over Valencia I reckon. This spurs team are definitely beatable as wolves showed. Defend well and hit them on the counter. Our pace can frighten them tbh

Spurs will be a real test imo. If we do well vs them we will really be able to assess ourselves

It’s doable but we need to keep this run on for some time yet.

Matic was crap again today he needs to go pronto!

I think it’s too late for United now.

I could see today that some of the same frailties are there and it’ll cost you from now until May.

We’ve a real chance now. The honeymoon period for Sarri looks like it’s over and most of Arsenal’s team is bang average.

Lovely to see some positive progression under the short time with Ole.

If we can win against Tottenham, it will boost the squad's confidence up even more.

I know what you mean but I don’t think it’s getting carried away, piling on too much pressure or setting expectations too high for fans to think/hope that we will get top 4.

For myself this is truly the first time I’ve actually felt optimistic about the team and I don’t think it’s unfair to express that optimism. I think we need some optimism and positivity

One thing I’ll like to say is let’s us not turn on the manager if we get beat by the big boys and miss out. For most of us, we just wanted to see positive football and we are seeing this now in abundance. Top 4 for me would just be the bonus, because couple of weeks ago I wanted this season to end

Metro don't know what you are on about. Apart from one player doing solo attacks in Atsu they caused us next to no problems. Spurs allow tons more chances against them but get away with it.

Felt sorry for Herrera today, was quietly excellent. Had to put in a hell of shift in lieu of Matic having no legs, Valencia not being match fit and needing to babysit Phil Jones most of the match.

We’ve got too much dross in defence, a good team will punish us for it. I think it’s 5th at best for us.

This I agree with 100%
We lost games under Fergie and even had the odd average season. I for one will definitely not be one to turn on Ole if we don’t achieve it or even have a bit of a bad run of results. At least he’s trying to make everyone do their bit in the United way.

Is this statistically proven?

Apart from Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool every other side concede tons of chances. Under OGS we are allowing very few clear chances hence expected goals against us recently has been very little.
