It’s been abundantly clear for years that Celtic’s model has always been one if buying in players at relatively low cost and developing them into first team players who are then at their peak likely to be sold on for profit.
Who were that last big names we bought? Keane, Bellamy, Wright, Ljungberg? None of them could really be termed a success and none of them had any sell on value.
The only exception is French Eddie who was almost a must have exception with the timing of Dembele’s last day departure and again only because we got huge money in. Other than that we’ve paid around a maximum of maybe £5m.
It’s been largely successful for many years now so I don’t see it changing.

Ye get away with talking baws when you’re winning, when results go the other way folk start to analyse what Ye say a bit more
For what it’s wirth I don’t buy into the dropping hints in statements stuff I don’t think he’s that clever linguistically

I don't think it's just this parochial wee country...he's viewed in a similar way in England which is a much bigger parochial country.
He's good at certain aspects of him job imo...I'm just talking about his public pronouncements. In person he's much more engaging.
Rodgers is by some way the best manager in the country but he is human and makes mistakes. That said he has won every domestic trophy he has been involved in since joining us and IF he gets the treble treble then legend status awaits. I hope he is here for the go for 10 but too many factors involved to expect it.
