So has he just dug himself a deeper hole?

It’s not against the rules in the first place. There is no rule. Cmon people.

He just wanted to prove a point.

Unless his “spy” turned up in a balaclava and a set of bolt cutters to break in then he’s doing what any decent manager should do.

Gain as much information about your opponents as you can to try and win.

Ffs Sun Tzu started that centuries ago.

Derby were thrashed. Anyone who puts their training sessions in the public eye in today’s modern game of multi millions of pounds stakes is an idiot. They deserved to be “spied” upon.

Please explain?

He hasn't broken any rules.

Spying in football has undoubtedly gone on for years, he just got caught.

He’s done nothing wrong at all. Media in this country make mountains out of mole hills.

If you don’t put a barrier around your training ground you can’t complain that the opposition team are watching you train.

For years fans used to watch Liverpool training standing on wheelie bins. When social media Kicked in our starting line ups were all over the internet the day before the game.

It’s not illegal so I am happy he came out and was declaring everything that he has done for transparency.

I also like the fact he is putting 2 fingers up to everyone. I think he is a great manager. Love his style. Miss Leeds in the top flight. Huge club like that deserved to be playing in the premiership if they win the league.

Because i will be amazed if the football league don't take some kind of action. No idea why anybody would think they will act rationally over this.

For what its worth i agree that it shouldn't be punishable.

And the league will in turn no doubt be taken to the CAS as they don't have a leg to stand on when it comes to charging him, or Leeds with anything.

Is there a rule that says it is illegal to watch an opposition team train? Fans watch training all the time so there is no stopping it unless you build a huge wall.

Don’t employ a wall builder called Trump though as he will ask you to pay for it yourself

Tbf I think most people do pay a guy if he comes and builds something for them.

Seems like he went to a whole lot of bother, but the FA or league might charge him under some general, catch-all provision such as 'bringing the game into disrepute'.

Love Bielsa, an absolute genius. Sitting down with Guardiola after Barca beat his Bilbao side and showing pep everything he had on Barca, pep just looked at him and said “you know more about Barca than i do”.

To be fair to Bielsa, as he pointed out, he already had all the information he needed on derby. He didn’t actually find anything extra out about them through the training session.

I can’t wait to have in the premier league, his press conferences are going to be phenomenal

That's what surprises me about some of the reactions, I thought trying to get intel on the other team before a match was standard in football?

Little whispers here and there about an injured striker or talking to a friend of a friend to get a bit of inside info on possible tactics or what have you. Is the problem just that he admitted it?

F*ck it anyway, I think today has been hilarious, spying on every team then creating documents which have a Rainman level of detail to them was pretty impressive. Also, the jokes going around about Bielsa knowing more about Derby than Lampard were amusing too.

In my opinion it's underhand. But I think not as bad as some are making it out to be. Chelsea have someone in every training ground in Europe on loan just about.

Then he wouldn’t have seen anything unless he broke in or hey, maybe he just wandered in.

If he broke in then I’m sure the law will have a say. If he wandered in then they can’t take their training session security very seriously. In which case tough. It’s a multi million pound sport ffs. Every point might mean a place up the table and the financial rewards that go with it. Amateur at best.

I sit in the directors box at our ground and at every game there’s scouts and managers and in among them will be at least one representative of the team we’ll be playing next. Sat taking notes and more than likely made very welcome by our club.

It’s part of the game and to jump on a soapbox over this Bielsa thing is palpably laughable.

It's also on record that Chelsea did this under Mourinho. Whilst Lampard was there.

The spying gained us no advantage. We were physically better than them in every sense of the word. Quicker, sharper, fitter. Cant blame wire cutters on that one.
