Nah, seems like one of those gimmicks that'll only work if he acts like a whether the crowd cheer him or not.

Your Ambrose vs. Jax comment bring to question something very poignant. Why are wrestling fans so serious now a days? The no.1 reason the Attitude Era was great was because above all else the $hit was fun and the fans were laid back about it. Not every match has to be this tense, testosterone laden battle or a bunch of gymnastics passing as a 5* classic, it's OK to find some of this stuff funny even if that's not the intention.

Besides Ronda's match, the best part of Mania last year was the stuff with Cena & Taker because it was absolutely hilarious. Was the best thing Cena's done since the noughties because he didn't take himself seriously, made himself the butt of a joke and it was fantastic.

Mate DA I love Nia Jax and her wrestling interaction with Dean Ambrose.I remember Eddie Guerrero and Chyna. That was great but not on the occasion of Royal Rumble.Nia Jax should be WWE Smackdown Divas Champion but she did not even win Tag Team Divas Champion.

"Why are wrestling fans so serious now a days?"

Society in general.

But it must be so exhausting to think like that about something so trivial as wrestling. Boiled down it's a bunch of guys and girls in tights flipping around or screaming into a microphone. As emotionally resonating and physically skillful it can be when done right, it's clearly an entertainment medium to be taken with a pinch of salt.

I've been a wrestling fan for approx 20 years and even I've taken to saying "you know it's fake right" to other wrestling fans, because that stuck up defensive response is just too easy to get out of fans today
