I'm really very familiar with Hastie's career and I have been following it for years. He's a bit of a specialist subject of mine, randomly. What a coincidence he's linked with Rangers!

But I guess we don't see him on a day to day basis.
He may not be done - just not fully up to speed.

FFS. What a fooking waste of cash, the guy is done.
Looks like he plays with lead boots on these days and he can't even pick a pass anymore.
I would not be happy if we signed him on a permanent deal.

We have to remember he basically hasn't played regularly since last Feb so he's going to be rusty and needs some time to get back into it.
That would say that he was more brought in for next season and the rest of this season would give him time to get back up to speed.
If that's possible.

Dropped from the squad completely last time out when fully fit.
Gerrard mentioned Lassana and Ross pushing the other 3 hard for place in midfield. Not even a mention of Davis, hopefully privately he's changed his mind.
He never really relied on pace first time round so it seems strange that fitness is a big issue for him. Not like he's been injured either.
He's just been off his game. Rusty as f@ck. A couple of glimpses of his old self but that's been about it.
It's always a concern when you bring old players back to the club.
We did it with Maloney and he never really hit the same heights.
