Tough to judge, he does well with the hand he's dealt in fairness but there were Aberdeen fans calling for him to go after the defeat to Hamilton so its swings and roundabouts.
I do think if Steven Gerrard wasn't in fact Steven Gerrard the phenomenal footballer then he'd be under an insane amount of pressure right now, his name is buying him time.
rangerse can't keep binning managers, the league isnt done yet and a run of games changes everything, i take nothing for granted giving how utterly dull and lazy we have been this season.
they need time to build something and a name like Gerrard will get that time, McInnes wouldn't

Aberdeen are still well behind Rangers in the league at this point in time.
McInnes has worked out a game plan that is effective against this current Rangers team - and which is particularly effective away from home when there is no real onus on them to take the game to Rangers. He deserves credit for that.
But has McInnes shown he is a winner who can play to high standard week after week and overcome the type of tactics his team employ against us?
Still not convinced.
He definitely has the upper hand over Stevie G at the minute but that doesn't necessarily make him the answer for Rangers.
Fully expect us to pull away now to be honest.
The 31st could be a glorious day.
I want Scott Brown standing on Nir Bitton's shoulders whilst pelting Scott Arfield with bits of lego as we go 5 up.
A difficult question to answer, Celtic and Rangers managers are under a lever of pressure that other teams gaffers aren't imo so Deek might have done better but equally could have imploded?
This is a better Rangers team than previous seasons, how much better it more difficult to accurately gauge, I'm only going on what I've seen (not a whole load) what Deek does have is a bit more managerial experience than Gerrard, getting Rangers as your first gig can't be easy?
i think given mcinnes budget and resources its harsh to underestimate him, i'm not a big fan but how many semi final / cup finals has he taken aberdeen to in his time there?
he has been massively unlucky to have had celtic in them all, they are due one tbh, i reckon it might be this year unfortunately for us.
hearts have to beat ICT, if they do then a Celtic v Hearts or Aberdeen V Hearts Semi final is a tasty match
McInnes is like Clarke IMO - great at getting a team of underdogs to compete with the top teams but doubt he'd be able to cut it when a league title is expected
He wouldn't have been given the backing despite being superior to the dafty we currently have in the dugout
Gerrards only getting time because he's Kings pet project.

So...you think he'd be ideal for Rangers then?
Aye if Hearts take care of ICT then no matter what it'll be a good final for Scottish fitbaw.
But since I'm selfish, i want it to be us
The dream scenario is us to beat Aberdeen and ICT to beat Hearts, what a day out that could turn into.

Yes it is.

Nah I want Hearts if we make the final, ICT will only bring around 6000 and somehow we wouldn't get the briefs and Hampdump would look empty schite.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
SFA have put a stop to that now, clubs now have a time limit to sell or return them.

BTW its a moot point on McInnes, he looked at Rangers and even being a boyhoos fan said no, why we will never know but he didn't fancy what he saw.

Probably took some advice from people in the know and decided against it. Same as big eck pre-pedro.

Clearly Gerrard has not shown that yet either.
Or no one would be having this conversation...….
Some of the Rangers and seem a little disheartened.
Would it help if we all shouted ‘Let’s go!’?
My disappointment peaked at roughly 3 minutes into the game last night when we gifted Aberdeen the lead.
You could see it was going to be one of those nights......
